Perhaps a tad, but the fact that we have not beaten any decent teams on the road and I think only 1 really decent aging team in San Antonio does not make me all giddy with excitement.

We are at 500 -- officially on our way to another season of mediocrity and just missing out on the playoffs. How is that picture looking?

What's your point? We've beat two good teams so far in the Spurs and the Blazers. We lost to every other good team that we played. We beat the bad teams. The Rockets are the very definition of a mediocre team.

True. If they were to continue that trend they would end with at least 10 games over .500. I honestly think that when they fine tune their chemistry, they will be a very scary team to play. Even to the so called good teams. You could go back to last season to see what chemistry can do for this team.

Other than OKC, the only teams to beat a good team on the road in the ENTIRE western conference are Golden State (Miami and Chicago), Portland (OKC), and Utah (Denver).

    Yeah, that doesn't mean much.

It actually means a lot. It says that all other teams are having just as many problems as the Rockets. The Rockets losses are magnified only on Clutchfans.

No, it means we are stuck in the middle and can't compete with the better teams, just as we have always been lately.

I thought we competed well against the Spurs at home and on the road, the Hawks, arguably against the Thunder at home.

What are the better teams in the West other than Spurs and Thunder?

I think there is no doubt that we can compete with the better teams.
Better question is if WE CAN BEAT 'EM regularly.

really, its not so bad to be another 7th or 8th seed in the playoffs, and get kicked out of the first round again with your consolation prize being a 13th or 14th pick.

This crap has gone on for so long, i'm starting to get the picture. I'd rather be first and win the champion, or the worse and win a draft. **** being average and mediocre. I'm tired of being the underdog

you don't get the 13th, 14 th pick if you get into the playoffs....

That be more of a 15th to 17 th pick

even worse? what ever happened to the plan of tanking, its not like we have any shot at the 2nd round with the current squad.

See the Miami Heat, very smart team, they learned from last season burnout. So every other game, Lebron or D-Wade is going to have a phantom injury and get some rest to be fresh for the playoffs.

The rockets on the other hand, never learn. That must be what happens when ur stuck being average for life

I agree with you but on the positive note..... with a young team going into the playoffs, young players like Morris, Patterson will make even bigger strides than just being around the 10th - 12th place. They will benefit. Going to the playoffs has its UPSIDE. It makes you competitive

For example, the playoffs can make the very good player Kyle Low a star if he continues to do well. It's a dream factory.

Wanna know what a young team will look like. Lowry, Kevin Martin, Twill/morris/parsons (chose one), Patterson, Thabeet. Put Scola on the bench, make him a 6th man or let him retire gracefully on the bench

Yeah, i know, everyone says Thabeet is horrible but when has he ever gotten consistent pt to get better. Why sign Samuel Dalembert when we have no shot at competing this year for anything other than a first round exit (AT BEST).
Why not develop a young core, our future. Sure, they will screw up, so the F what. I'd rather they screw up this short season and learn and be ready for the next season. Than suck this season and suck next season too.

And as for Thatbeet, Look how long it took Andrew Bynum to finally get it together (weird considering he has been starting for forever and playing bball all his life) when compared to Thabeet.

u must be a loser in real life and satisfied with mediocrity

or bring back to earth, cos he will be playing against better talent who will have more time to study tapes and be ready for him.
