Exactly, if you listen to the context of the interview, its not that bad. Especially with Terrence he says its really not his fault its just that he got beat out. Flynn, Thabeet, and Jordan deserve to be called out for not taking advantage of this opportunity.

Wow, if Morey doesn't think he's a third string center then Richard Patruska > Thabeet.

All the lunatic Thabeet supporters need to read this one.

I thought it was kind of funny when he said they don't usually pick in the lotto, lol. What! Anyway, I actually thought its a good move to get those guys. I understand looking for the next jermaine oneal. My only problem is if you go that route, you need to open up space for them to fail or play well. I really thought they could get thabeet to the late rookie yr form, but he didn't and it messed up 2 players, he and hill. Hill isn't and won't ever be a center, but that's how he started the season. If you want to see these guys, they need minutes. Other than that, I have no problems with the strategy.

Williams still has trade value, I'm sure theres plenty of veteran teams like the Celtics who would love to have a guy like J-Hill. But yeah not much trade value for JFlynn or Sheem.

That is because Bud has outperformed his contract several times over.

if i was twill, two players picked out of the second round with one being a rookie playing ahead of me would definitely light a fire under me

patterson has not developed his game further into his second season, and this is the biggest disappointment on the roster imo.

no improvement in low post game, off the dribble game, or extended range on his J.

the diminished explosiveness may be attributable to the surgery he's had, but he clearly did not work on basketball skills this past summer.

Exactly it is like a half assed strategy, somewhere between development and trying to make the playoffs.

If you are going to take shots at folks you have to play them in NBA games on a consistent basis and at their positions to truly find out, some people are better game players than practice ones.

But whatever, it is what it is......

The 09ers add up to ~$13.6 million dollars of wasted space.
That would get us 2-3 very solid players.
For example: Hayes $5.25 mil + zaza $4.7 mil + brewer $3 mil

    :)

I think he meant that they don't plan to pick in the lottery when they traded for those players.

As Morey said, it's the injuries. Also, as mature as PatPat is, I think losing a senior presence in Chuck Hayes hurt him. I don't think McHale's been mentoring him.

At least we know our GM isn't planning on wasting another year waiting to see if these duds will blossom. The only one I could see us picking up an option on would be T-Will, just because a huge number of minutes could potentially open up should Martin get dealt.

Once the deadline for extending the '09ers has passed we'll find out who is actually still someone worth investing in and who is simply an expiring contract.

You guys can parrot that line however many times you want, it still won't make it true. If you suck in practice, you suck in games, ala Williams and Thabeet.
