None, that's really not the point. When I go, I cheer (as long as we're winning).

But I'm planning to go to quite a few in February so, BACK OFF!

Hell yeah, you'd have more fun watching from a sports bar where you have multiple games going on.

We've been one of the worst teams for over a decade. No excuses left for the owner and management. Put a product worth paying for and I'll go to the game. Used to be a season tix holder about 10-12 years ago and would barely miss any games.

Now I haven't been to a game in a few years. I'm not wasting money on a garbage product.

Might help a little bit. But I rather have a product worth paying for then short term gimmicks like cheap beer, etc.

This has really confused me, the honest admissions that people will only go to games if we start winning....

And you all say that new Miami fans are bandwagoning? It's the same thing here!

LOL, what a concept. People not wanting to spend money on an inferior product.

How many games have you been to this year? All of them, I assume.

I think there's a huge segment of posters here who do not get just how bad a state this franchise is in right now. How irrelevant they seem to be locally amongst people who absolutely count themselves as lifelong fans of the Rockets.

It's not, some people go for the love of the game and the team, regardless of success.

I've never been to a game, I will in the future but the distance is a little restrictive right now, I do however go regularly to my local football (soccer) team here in London, which costs around $70 a game and trust me, it's not all success and champagne.

It's a tribal thing, you support your team no matter what, there are football (soccer) teams over here who will never amount to anything who pull in 20,000 people every single week, at vastly higher admission prices.

For $30 a ticket i'd be at every home game if i lived locally.

    A. Some historically popular teams (Yankees, Cowgirls, ManU, etc.) will draw a crowd regardless of the team record. Some teams like the Jazz, Kings, etc. will draw a crowd regardless because they are a one team city and there prolly is not alot else to do in those cities. Houston is not one of those cities. The team will get support if they are good. Rockets tickets were hard to come by in the late 90's. Wanna take a guess why?

    B. You are a better fan then me...happy?

Hah, good stuff. I don't think it's possible to enjoy a Rockets game sober.

Will catch up later, but I wanted to add that Wizards attendance numbers are a complete sham. 15000 means 9000.

I'm not a better fan than anyone, like i said, I've never been to a game, the 10,000 mile round trip is just a bit restrictive.

Plans are in place to come over for the 50th year celebrations, but thats about it.

I do take your point about the football team taking the share of sports fans, it surely has an effect, especially when that team is doing well.

In no way am I agreeing with the thread title, just making an observation that it doesnt seem to me like some fans are willing to go through the mediocrity of what we are right now.
