He spent a lot of years with Sloan and the Jazz are looking really good right now.

Yeah, they traded him a week or so after Sloan resigned.

I'm not quite ready to say he's a good coach. I guess we'll see.

I have hated the Jazz as much as the Lakers down through the years. But I do respect the organization. They are playing in Salt Lake City and they've kept the team competitive even though the big superstars don't want to go there. When I look at their current roster, with their 4 bigs, Big Al, Milsap, Kantor, and Favors, that's 4 quality bigs. All athletic, active, and capable of playing both ends. Al has played for perenially losing teams but Corbin seems to have him playing defense for the first time in his career. They are looking good.

In another thread, someone was criticizing their perimeter players. I don't see justice for that. Heyward/Howard at the 3 is real nice. Raja is a defender. They've got the youngster Burks behind him and then Earl Watson backing up Harris is a good PG combo. They're solid and they're gelling.

How much of that is Corbin?

They're getting lucky on who they are playing, but luck counts.
