It's not interesting, it's pathetic. And predictable. Greenwald on Endless War.

    Goodness heavens, how naive...

    Here's what Asian Americans need:

    1. Catch an Asian dude getting beat up by the police on tape
    2. Start a major riot over it
    3. ???
    4. Pray that the average white dudes like Mr. justtxyank here will finally realize "racism" doesn't just exist between whites and blacks

Then again the riot part will probably be hard since most of them actually have jobs or school.

I am basing off of knowing and training many people in the military and the history of the US military. The US military was racially integrated in 1948 and while there was resistance it didn't stop the US from going to war just two years later.

While I have no doubt there are a lot of racists in the military there are countless examples of soldiers of all races willing to to give their lives to fight and protect their fellow soldiers no matter what the race. The fact that soldiers of all colors have been able to fight together effectively for 62 years shows that racism isn't endemic in the military. Further the military unlike the civilian world is one area where behavior can immediately and severely be enforced.

My point was that Americans kill more Americans than non-Americans do, and it happens inside your borders. If the goal is to save x number of lives, there are plenty of lives which can be saved through healthcare, education, reforms, inside America.

But in reality it is about what you described above. An American suburban town within commuting distance of a big city or a small American town with a healthy industrial and farming sector is one of the safest, most prosperous places on the planet. Price tag: lots of lives in the Middle East + 30% of the world's oil very cheap and stable.

Self-victimization and blaming the US for everything from someone from the Middle East. Sounds familiar.

lol you proved my point genius. No sense of responsibility for what your politicians do either.

You support people like Wilders, Sarazin, etc. Although you elect the people who physically command wars which kill thousands of Middle Easterners, you share no sense of responsibility for the collateral damage. But in your case, I'm not suprised considering you political views.

But in general, I'm surprised that people with moderate political views for example don't feel they have any responsibility for Iraq being in ruins, violent, as sectarian as ever, etc. They chose it, they certainly have some responsibility.

What's a person from the Middle East supposed to think when an American with all the flaunted freedoms and education and whatnot votes in these people? These people who have established bases everywhere around us in case they want to take action? These people who are responsible for thousands of deaths, collateral damage or direct? These people who have publicly supported tyranny abroad in the face of protests from opressed populations?

If Middle Eastern PEOPLE and American PEOPLE don't talk these issues out, the extremists are going to keep playing sides. Just because I don't understand why Americans do something doesn't mean I hate them, doesn't mean I'm blaming them for everything, doesn't mean any of those things.

Rinse and repeat. Blaming everyone from the outside for any perceived woes - again. Self-victimization and pointing fingers, rather than taking responsibility for all the crap that you caused yourself. Seems to be endemic in certain regions.

In a thread that has NOTHING to do with your repetitive, whiny little rant, no less.

Are you going to address the issue? Do you have anything of substance to say regarding the issue?

Are you denying that you vote for these people? That they choose to do these things? Or that there are tons of people dying as collateral damage to a war started by those people?

What the hell does your paranoid whining have to do with a racist mobbing incident within the U.S. army? Just start thread no. 1231204125 for being a whiny b****, instead of derailing yet another thread with it.

Why are you evading the issue again?

Do you have anything of substance to say about the issue?

If you don't understand how this topic came up or understand how it's linked, I agree that you don't.

On the other hand, you calling me a whiny b**** for derailing threads while focusing on one topic... WHO DOES THAT???

    That's just classic ATW lol

You can put me on ignore, I won't whine about it. I would put you on ignore, but last time I did it I didn't really notice anything different, you still seemed to be saying absolutely nothing at all.

    G'day

I know Im going to be a minority on this issue, but this is less about him being asian and more about him being the weakest link.

Im not condoning the behavior at all of the soldiers abusing him, but Chen wasn't exactly 100% innocent. If you're being bullied, provoking the bullies isn't the wisest move.

Pacific Islanders? There are some Filipinos who are Asian, just like there are some Filipinos who are white. Those are migrant Chinese, Spanish, Americans etc who have mixed with the native population.

Exactly, it's not like he was black or even gay. What part of ASIAN did you not understand.

Racism against Asians doesn't even exist, it's always something else.

For example when those black kids had a race riot on all those Viet kids in Philadelphia it wasn't because they were ASIAN it was... the language problem? Why do you think they were yelling "chink" at them during the riots? It was to help them learn English words.

Seriously as a white guy I already have to worry about being racist (meaning saying anything improper to blacks) Anti Semitic and homophobic. If I have to add another group to that list I just can't go on. I gotta have at least ONE group that I can rag on don't I?

Seriously I was living my life then I get on this thread and learn about the existence of racism against Asians now? WTF I just elected Obama and sent some tax dollars to Israel and promised to vote for gay marriage FFS people now what.
