After seeing the JaVale McGee's dunk contest shoes, I was thinking of picking up a couple pairs of Peak when I was in China, then I realize they cost more than shoes in the U.S. (I buy shoes at Outlet and DSW ) and decided against it. People in China have too much disposable income these days. As far as quality, with the improve standard of living people have higher expectation of quality, they felt sturdy and since most U.S. shoe plants are in China I doubt quality is worse than Nike or Reebok. http://counterkicks.com/2011/02/19/javale-mcgees-5-different-dunk-contest-peak-relentless-shoes/
I was in China couple month ago. I don't recall seeing a PEAK shoes store. I see Anta, LiNing, Nike, and Adidas and of course the China brand Jordan (it's not Jordan but the name is Jordan name in Chinese). Shoes are expensive there. Adidas cost like $200 USD.
Nike, Peak, what difference does it make, they're all made in China anyway... it's all in a name brand...
The phrasing of the commercial is just weird... almost like somebody took Chinese text, Google-translated it, and made Lowry say it (if that is even Lowry's voice).
