Didn't enjoy the hound episode. Very obvious conclusion and the directing was uncreative (especially the 'mind palace' scene). Hopefully next week will be better.
Obvious, but classic. The shows are based on the books, and most of Sir Arthur's stories have been copied infinitely... The important part of the last show was that Sherlock, for the first time, questioned himself and was truly moved. Very interesting, imo...
S0202 was great. but not as good as the first one as A3PO mentioned. a few scenes were unnecessary i thought.
The Woman's episode could definitely be the best episode of any show I can recollect. Only other one that stands out to me is "The Constant" from Lost. Hound felt similarly like the low point middle episode of last season's 3.
The Reichenbach Fall episode airs tomorrow. Seems it will involve some courtroom antics. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/MimV42deNMA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I feel like reiterating how much I disapprove of how the show does Moriarty. They make him some deranged, immature, psycho with emotional outbursts in his speech. Moriarty should be calm, calculating, and obviously brilliant. Hopefully this episode, which seems Moriarty heavy, will change my view.
fantastic Spoiler any thoughts on how the death was faked? I thought maybe they would just end the series, but it's too popular to end after two seasons
There's been nothing to indicate that Cumberbatch's interpretation of Holmes is gay. If anything, the reference to Moriarty calling him "The Virgin" is a hint that he is non-sexual.
I'm kinda pissed. I feel like it's a bit dickish of them to make us wait however long it's going to be until the next episodes to provide a little closure.
I am wondering if the writers of the show even know exactly how to wrap up what they did in this episode. Maybe they haven't come up with a solution yet. If they do already have a resolution in mind then I think the show made it clear that Molly was part of it. Spoiler she had no assassin tailing her and they had that scene towards the end with Sherlock admitting she's important.
Man I just wish Spoiler they had kept Sherlock dead. That's how the Fall was originally going to be, his permanent death. I wonder what Sherlock could've said to make Moriarty tell him the kill code, but I LOVED Moriarty's solution to Holmes' threat. Completely and utterly unexpected. And I'm so glad there wasn't a 'all access code' and that Moriarty had just fooled everybody through the simplest act of crime- bribery. Hmm, I wonder if Sherlock survived the same way how in the first Sherlock movie (with Robert Downey Jnr), where the villain gets hanged but survives.
Hmm ... I think I'll just wait on watching this last episode until next season and save myself the aggravation.
You are wise, sir. Now that it's the next day, I'm not as worked up about it as I was when I posted my comment last night, but it's still annoying how much they left hanging. But otherwise it was the best of the new episodes. Too bad I still like the first three episodes better.
