No point guard in the league would give us a big upgrade at PG, we are set at this position, improve upon others. top pg's in the league by homer me 1. Rose 2. Paul 3. DWill 4. Westbrooksy 5. Lowry/Rondo
Lowry is not an all-star. He's a superstar. Don't underrate his rebounding and defense. Many allstars don't play defense to keep energy for better stats. If Lowry do that, he could have enough gas left to score 50 last night.
Interesting how people here are constantly carrying on about how the team needs to trade everything for a "superstar" or dismantle the team to lose games to get a top draft pick to roll the dice on and "rebuild," with no mention of one of our own taking it to the next level and becoming that "superstar." It appears Lowry's on track to do just that. Players do improve. Stars are NOT just traded for or drafted. How sweet it is to see how far Lowry has come. I'm eager to see how some of our other young players develop.
His play was awesome tonight, and has been all season long. If he continues at this pace he will have to make the All Star team. I also believe that once the guys start catching his passes, and putting the ball in the hole consistently, Lowry's assist averages will go through the roof.
Guys that Lowry gets more rebounds than: David West, Gerald Wallace, Tim Duncan, Andrea Bargnani, Carmelo Anthony, Brendan Haywood, Serge Ibaka, Kendrick Perkins, DeJuan Blair, Dirk Nowitski and etc...
I didn't realize how thin out west the guard position is. Kobe and Paul win be runaway starters Westbrook will also go, although Kyle might be better. After those 3 Kyle is next in line, if the rockets are around .500 come selection time. If he keeps up this insane prouction there is no doubt he goes.
It was over before it started as far as getting voted into the game. He still has a chance to make it as a reserve.
Lowry Trade looks good in hindsight http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=163047 Lowry Trade looks good in hindsight
Not really. Did you read the OP? Forgot that just a couple years ago Rockets fans' mindset was how long we could keep open the championship window. Now? Lowry became a star and...the rest of the team went to the dogs.
