Now HERE is a criminally underrated band- their best rivals the Stones, IMHO. 1. Safe European Home 2. White Riot 3. Spanish Bombs 4. Straight to Hell 5. London Calling
Too many to mention, really. Jail Guitar Doors Complete Control Clampdown Death or Glory The Card Cheat Police on My Back Pressure Drop Really the first 3 albums are all ridiculous.
I Fought the Law Should I Stay or Should I Go Rock the Casbah Clash City Rockers The ENTIRE London Calling Album!!!

Absolutely- London Calling has been in my top 10 since, gosh, years ago. And it's been there ever since. Sandinista, I gotta say, very interesting stuff.
Lot of good selections listed. My favorite is: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qsrEAWcAvRg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
One of my earliest memories of music, my mom bought me these LP from a sears catalog. Long story short, that album had Sea Cruise on it. The song by Frankie Ford. I always thought it was cool that the clash sampled this song in Wrong 'Em Boyo. How many people knew this? Are younger people here hip to the song Sea Cruise? This album also had Splish Splash, Itsy Bitsy Tennie Weenie yellow polka dot bikini, Purple People Eater. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/NK03STRXWGo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/X9H_cI_WCnE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ShGrtA17mSg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Two Favorites: London Calling <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/g4dL0lv72oM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> White Riot <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Fe_Dkglw9NI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
No possible way to list the favorites. Most, if not all, are my favorites. I listened to Sandinista from beginning to end again just the other night. Amazing...
Sampled? That's what rappers do. On "Wrong 'em Boyo", the Clash had a horn section do the horn riff from "Sea Cruise". Big difference between that and sampling. Sampling is outright usage of another recording. BTW...my favorite Clash song is "Police and Thieves".
Hitsville UK Should I stay or should I go Wrong em Boyo Brand New Cadillac Inoculated City London Calling Police on my Back Train in Vain Best of Sandanista should have been 1 great album instead of 3, too much filler for my taste.
Surprised to see that it hasn't been mentioned yet, but 20 years after I first heard it 'White Man In Hammersmith Palais' still destroys me every time.
Never actually listened to the 2nd half of Combat Rock straight through until yesterday. Man, that's something else. Have they put out anything other than great? Maybe Cut the Crap.
