Look how far we got without Mario. Foster played insane today. He's special.
Barwin stepped up so much. Jj watt is only gonna get better.

All we need is a qb. In the draft we should replace rackers and Jones l.

Imagine how far we could've gone with him.

We need a QB? If Schaub never went out, we'd be rolling to Indy.

    Stupid thread is stupid

    QB? Really?

Sure there are better QB"s out there but how do you suggest the Texans get them?

Foster is a superstar. He is someone who will step up in the post season all the time. I think the texans are not that stupid that they would let him go

No need to franchise a guy who is an RFA.

I wouldn't be so quick to let Mario go. He elevates this defense to Bears SB level...and he's so young.
On the other hand, bidding for Mario should START at 2 number 1's , a 2nd rounder and possibly a 3rd....That would go a long way towards solidifying this team....

    Foster definitely stays.

This. Also, you can just sign people to contracts without necessarily franchising them. Franchising a player is usually a last resort to keep a player who wants to leave. And the franchise tag only lasts a year. If you really want to reward Foster, you sign him to a multi year deal.

Probably not any farther than we got today. The Defense did an amazing job.

Free agents can't be traded. Generally S&Ts don't happen in this sport either. Pec injuries by history will take longer to heal than the time between his injury and the start of NFL 2012.

yeah, the way the defense played not only tonight, but the whole season, i dont know how much mario would have helped. I think it's clear the team can keep it's top ranked D without him though. I would rather spend on another wide receiver.
