This guy has needed to go for two years..and won't for quite awhile ..just makes me sick. Many of us have said it before and I'm standing by it now. I know that we lost Matt and were down to a 3rd string QB, but this was a game we should have won. Abandoning Arian Foster completely and putting it in the hands of TJ is but another example of his limitations. I know I'm beating a dead horse, but Wade and the defense more than did their job....so much heart.

as much i hate kubiak he did pretty well this year.

a rookie qb going against one of the best defenses in the league on the road while playing from behind because of a player mistake? cmon

In what world does Arian getting 27 carries qualify him as "abandoning" Arian.

The guy is never going to get appropriate credit... if he protects Yates and doesn't let him do anything, he's being too controlling and needs to let him air it out and take the risk of mistakes. When he does just that, take the shackles off Yates and let him sink/swim, he gets blamed as well.

The players and owner disagree with you.

    So do I.

No, it was a game we COULD have won. We were 7 point underdogs for a reason.

There was no margin of error for Jacoby's blunder. We're built to protect leads, not to come from behind against a bulldog defense that's as good as any in the league.

Yates can't be Brees, we all knew this.

Kubiak certainly has his faults, but he needs a full deck. We did what we could.

I'd trade Kubiak for Bill Cowher in a heartbeat.

PS, why was Jacoby in a position to hurt us? Why was he even on the field?

Kubiak is not the issue in this game. Did people want Kubiak to call running plays on the final two drives?? TJ chose to go deep on the INT, I'm sure that play had a deep option and check down options but TJ thinks AJ will catch anything and gave it a try.

    2:52 left in the game.
    2 times outs.

    Explain this play calling:

Houston Texans at 2:52 HOU BAL
    1st and 10 at HOU 28 T.Yates pass deep left to A.Johnson to HST 46 for 18 yards (Ca.Williams).
1st and 10 at HOU 46 (No Huddle, Shotgun) T.Yates pass short middle to A.Johnson to BLT 38 for 16 yards (E.Reed).
1st and 10 at BAL 38 (Shotgun) T.Yates pass deep right intended for A.Johnson INTERCEPTED by E.Reed at BLT 4. E.Reed to BLT 4 for no gain (A.Johnson). Ed Reed's 8th career interception of post-season.

Why not Mix in a Run???? PLEASE??!?!? WE HAD TIME OUTS!!

    Next Possession?

    1st and 10 at HOU 48 T.Yates pass short left to O.Daniels to BLT 43 for 9 yards (R.Lewis).
2nd and 1 at BAL 43 (No Huddle, Shotgun) T.Yates pass incomplete short right to O.Daniels (P.McPhee).
3rd and 1 at BAL 43 (Shotgun) T.Yates pass incomplete short left to K.Walter.
4th and 1 at BAL 43 (Shotgun) T.Yates pass incomplete deep right to K.Walter (E.Reed).

While YATES may have been exposed. .. . imo so was Kubiak

The Kubiak haters need to get over it. He has done well this year.

He will be back and I am happy he will be.

Kubiak basically just came off of his BEST year coaching-wise. Anyone who wants the guy gone is not going to get what they want. I believe it was merely three or four weeks ago that the guy was getting constant praise for his improved play-calling right here on these very boards.

When a team is losing in the waning seconds of the game, it's pretty standard practice to air the ball out as much as time allows. "Abandoning" Arian is kind of a melodramatic recounting of things.

    I think he's a pretty good OC.

And yes we were going against a great defense.

But I didn't like the playcalling during key spots in this game...real momentum killers. Our defense was iron .....
Overall, I get where you're coming from ... when it comes to close games though....I'll never trust him.

    Here is my main issue . . . . .
People dog out Wade's "mediocre" record
    but
Sans Wade . . . . Kubiak is the definition of 'Mediocre'
He is good WITH WADE but . . . mediocre without him .

If you think WADE is too mediocre to have a HC job
then you have to feel the same about Kubiak
    cause
Evidently Wade is a good OC away from being in this same position as Kubes

Kubiak was fine... seems like it's become routine to pick on him and Kareem ....when in doubt blame them huh...but neither lost the game for us. Fact is I think both defenses clamped down a bit in the second half.

Kubiak has most definitely earned another year...I doubt very many teams would have responded the way ours did with so many injuries.

I DID think going in that we needed to have one turnover max ...That said, the game was there for the taking ...in a big way. Our defense played like champions today. If we could have punched in one touchdown, it would have been game over. No way the Ravens get into the endzone on us. I give full credit to the Ravens D. But in certain spots, particularly at the end HE DID abandon Arian......and put it in TJ's hands. . Sure we were short handed, and it was a great season, but it was there...just like the playoffs were last year.

This team will constantly underachieve under Kubiak. ....The defense is Super Bowl caliber but the HC isn't.
