The "older relatives watch and quote Fox News" meme is getting a bit tired as well. But I guess having black third-world immigrant parents who went to college in the late sixties, hate Israel and would have cut off a limb before voting Republican means prevents me from empathizing.

That's embarrassing, the public, not Dana Bash. I saw the question and the other longer version, it was a stupid little question about him not having time to shake a ladies hand and now she won't support him. Paul took that as him being attacked by the media and now his supporters are blindly following it. Young Turks did a review of the incident and even they thought Paul was totally in the wrong there.

I see a seasoned professional in between high pressure gigs summarily dismissing some bored doofuses on a workday, Dr. Neckbeard Slanderton included. "Go get in your picture" little boy.

I recently changed my mind on FOX. Where I once thought they were a directed propaganda machine for conservative causes, I now believe they are a conviction-less marketing machine that is simply exploiting a niche; they are in essence, trolling the conservative movement for ratings and returns.

The lunatic fringe is a reliable demographic and is proven susceptible to their faith in preconception over information. By feeding their paranoid political fantasy and getting a real visceral reaction and identification, FOX has built a brand loyalty that is invaluable to advertisers. It's really all about selling soap (or gold).

Seriously? You're just now figuring this out? Republican politicians do the same thing.

On the other hand, CNN and MSNBC and democrat politicians are all very sincere in their motives and only serve for the greater cause of man kind.

Yeah, the CNN doesn't have an agenda - just FOX. Bash, like all dumbass liberals, is getting destroyed.

The only thing that separates 'supporting an agenda' from a 'troll' is sincerity.

In the short term, disinformation well done is indistinguishable from information. It's only over the longer term with review and rebuttal that it can be separated.

I don't doubt that FOX has true agenda supporters among it's 'on air' personalities, but I do doubt that at the level of management they are sincere about the politics and are more about creating a market. It's the shear absurdity of it that is the long term tell.
