In this case Leonard has a strong argument for being the BPA in the vicinity where we're likely to draft (though lots can change before draft day). He has huge upside.
i saw we gofor gilchrist if we end up just missing the top two picks, but i want to go for the top two picks.
Who ever we get doesn't matter. We'll package him with martin or scola and get Davis. think big folks. We don't need another player that will keep us in mediocrity.
Perry Jones all the way. I played against Duncanville in high school and he's got so much god given ability its insane. He's become scary consistent and efficient this year. If we get a chance that high you have to take the guy with the highest ceiling and has shown he can be coachable and Jones III has shown that this year. I'm also a huge Kidd-Gilchrist fan. Such a hard worker and scrappy as hell his basement is Wallace. Stud defender, watched him shut down Barnes from getting to the rim in the UNC game, which is why im bearish on him. If i had an opportunity I take Jones III and hope Kidd or Leonard fall to the knicks pick
I want Rockets to get a SF who can rotate to SG at anytime doing the game... and possibly a backup center for SammyD.
More than likely, we'll make the playoffs and lose our pick, so we won't need to worry about drafting one of these potential game changers. We'll probably finish a bit above .500, and we'd need to lose about 10 more games than we're on track to to get one of the top-tier prospects. But hey, look on the bright side! That's like 10 more losses Les won't have to endure, and you know how gosh-darn upsetting losses are for him. And as the win-now crowd is always saying, lottery picks are sometimes busts!
Very true. Marginal trade. Improvement. 8th seed. 4 game blitzkrieged by the #1 seed. Knicks make the playoffs. And we're left with the Knicks pick at 18, a guaranteed salary for a player likely to contribute no more than a 2nd rounder we could sign for half the money, and the pick with actual negative trade value because of the guaranteed salary attached to it.
He would have had the single best dropstep in basketball, and he has great hands and a low base. All the tools to compete with Bynum and Howard, who were also foul magnets when they were 18-19-20...
