I think they say that he might be a tad undersized at the 2...... defensively.
No doubt he is a shooting guard with good passing in his mind trapped in a PG's body.

ellis is a good player that would even be considered top 20 if put in a better situation. however, i doubt GSW will want to trade him for just martin and i'm not sure he's enough of an upgrade to merit adding extra assets to have them bite.

i also am 50/50 on his character issues outside the court (moped, sexual harassment allegations etc)

Actually a Ellis Lowry backcourt would be really hard to defend plus kMart is ineffective, i would trade them Kmart and Flyn for Ellis

I'd throw in Thabeet and Adrien ..... Making room for Smith and a warm body.

They might Do That, although I would Keep Thabeet( u cant teach 7'3 plus you probably can sign him for Peanuts once his contract is over) throw Bud in, get rid of some of the clutter At the same time. Monte C Lee would be a nice combo at the 2

    Lowry/Dragic
    Ellis/lee
    Parsons/Twill/Morris
    Scola/Pat/Morris
    Sammie/HIll

We don't want a sg that needs the ball in his hands to be effective, Lee at least when fit is a decent enough 2 to have alongside lowry, Martin if traded should be for upgrades in the frontcourt (like the vetoed trade )

He's better than Martin, but he's also an overrated chucker. Don't want him.

Evan if you start Lee and bring Monta Of the bench i still think its a upgrade for an aging scorer who is loosing his ability to consistently be affective, Scola should be shopped in a package separately to upgrade the Frontcourt

if U Look at Lowry style of play Monta would almost be a perfect fit for Him, the wide open shots that Lowry is getting Kmart (that he is missing) every single night, if u put Monte in that Situation Monta will be wet. right now Monta has to Constantly create his own shot, i think he would be way more efficient with a pg that can get him shots in the right places

Why would GS trade him... Martin is older, less explosive, and doesn't take over in the 4th.. Hitting a head on bank layup, and drawing a pumpfake foul are were his tools of destruction tonight..
