Whoops - I missed that one. I saw the 3 turnovers but didn't realize there was a possession in between. So they've punted twice in their last 2.5 games now. They've had a number of drives (5 or 6, I think) end in turnovers. And they scored on all the rest.
What about now? The ineptness of the 49ers offense gives them little chance to win today. Only way they do is to snag another 3-4 turnovers, which isn't likely. 49ers also need to get more pressure on Brees or the Saints will rack up 40+ points.
Defense stopped bringing pressure and decided to drop back to deny the recievers... Wade already showed that this strategy does not work. 49ers need to stay aggressive on defense.
Crabtree killed SFO with those two drops. They had a chance to get some points. Now the Saints will probably drive the field and score.
This turnover was more that brees was going for broke. He didn't care if it was incomplete or turnover in that situation. 3 and 8 it was an all or nothing attacking play down the field.
49ers playing like the Texans played against the Saints early in the season; They just can't capitalize on mistakes and field position. 49ers should be up a bunch, Saints coming.
