I guarantee he makes it this year - too many people are recognizing how underated he has been and McHale gives him complete freedom and his numbers are sky rocketing..... He is playing like AB in some regards, lots of shots...but playing better on D and in assists. DD
I agree. Good point about Martin and Scola not making buckets like they normally do. If Kyle can keep this level of play up and those two return to form, he could be around 10 assists a game this season, and that's an incredible number. The big question is, can he keep it up?
They are not making buckets because it is a different offense and they are not getting the ball in the same efficient manner. DD
I know they are both having problems with the new system and a new coach, DD, and they certainly aren't the only ones, but both are professionals and will get it together, IMO. We've seen some of that already from Luis. I'm more concerned with Martin getting the calls he's used to getting from the refs, which is a big part of his game. With Scola, I've been more concerned with his health. It looks like I was off-base with that worry. Scola's play is coming around. We're seeing that now. Martin? Even with Martin being on the team this long, I don't have as good a feel for his game as I do with Scola's. I'm not sure what we'll get from him this year, and I don't doubt that the system changing has hurt his game, but that's not swallowing those whistles. I think you are putting too much weight on the coaching change. I wish we still had Adelman, but we don't, and McHale doesn't suit up for the games. You still have to produce on the court, regardless of the coach and/or the system. Good players adapt.
Dude, I don't think they have in arena voting. Usually, I get harassed to vote and I never do, and now that I want to, I can't, I have to do it online.
Great defense. Great leadership. Great driving. Above average shooting. Above average passing. Based on numbers, Lowry is the best PG in the league right now.
They do, but there are some players that are a lot more effecient in certain types of offenses, I think Scola has a better shot at adapting, Kmart has none. He is not getting that little back door cut much any more, and that is killing his efficiency. Take notice of how many times Kmart is iso up top with the ball and trying to make his own play, that is an uber fail on our coaching staff, he is highly INefficient at that. You would think with all that time off that McHale would have had time to study his players and find ways to get the ball to them in the most effective manner. Guess not. DD
Better than average defense. Great leadership. Great driving. Average shooting. Above average passing. Agree about him making the all star team, disagree with some of you positions.... DD
Coaches bring in their players...... Kevin Martin is hopelessly dependent on Adelman. There is nothing to do about that.... Hopeless
he won't make the all star team because they are going to look at our record and pick someone from a winning team. If we stay dead last in the west I can tell you he won't make it.
The bolded stats are positive advantages Lowry has over Paul this season so far. Kyle Lowry 16.1 points (tie) 9.3 assists 6.8 rebounds 2.1 steals 35.8 minutes/game 42.9 fg% on 11.7 shot attempts/game 39.5 3pt% on 4.8 shot attempts/game 90.5 ft% on 4.7 shot attempts/game 58.7 true shooting percentage 13.0 turnover rate 22.8 usage rate 24.39 per Chris Paul 16.1 points 8.8 assists 2.9 rebounds 2.8 steals 37.1 minutes 51.5 fg% on 12.6 shot attempts/game 38.9 3pt% on 2.3 shot attempts/game 81.8 ft% on 2.8 shot attempts/game 58.3 true shooting percentage 9.5 to rate 20.8 usage rate 22.79 per However, Lowry is using the ball more within the offense than Paul, and is also turning the ball over at a high rate. Paul has a better field goal percentage on a similar number of attempts due to his ability to probe the paint and the use of floaters -- a skill Lowry has yet to develop. Overall, in terms of production per cost, considering Lowry makes a third of what Paul makes in salary, Lowry is a beast!
Imagine if Clips had the foresight to trade for Lowry with Minn's pick, Kaman, and Aminu and take back Hill and Thabeet while keeping Gordon. Lowry/Billups Gordon/Mo Butler/Gomes Griffin/Hill DJ/Thabeet
Every rocket fan should be voting every day for Lowry in all star ballot! His play is definatly worthy of all star, it is up to fans to vote! Love his game! His assist numbers are very good despite the fact the rockets top 2 scorers are struggling to score..if they can pick up their scoring Lowry will put 10+ assists and prob lead league! His rebound numbers are crazy considering his height! His scoring is good although I would like to see better percent..no doubt if the team can win some games he should get the credit he deserves...really with his great passing and play so far, if he can continue like this I think that it is possible that he could help bring a star player who would want to play beside him! I know lot of people prob will say "yeah right" but seriously who wouldn't want him out there setting them up for easy baskets!
Tonight's stat line...33pts 8rbds 9ast Damn, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man! Yes he is!
exactly u put lowry on any of these so called superstar pg's team he would out perform all of the except for DRose ...Lowry > Paul, Dwill and Westbrook
