I think more often than not he is annoying, especially with that yak yak crap he says after every made shot. There are some funny moments like the math debacle but all in all I enjoyed the show more without shaq and his opinions.

The trio of Ernie, Jet, and Chuck was pure gold... I don't know why TNT started tinkering w/ the format a few years ago. C-Webb was painful on the ears, and the Shaq experiment has been an utter failure.

I don't think Shaq will return to TNT after this season. He just doesn't have it.

    Nice try.

Shaq is ruining Inside the NBA and NBA TV for me.

His presence is just awkward on there, his voice is low and mumbly, he says nothing funny ever, nothing remotely insightful ever, and he makes all those annoying noises during the game recap videos.

C-Webb was much, much, much better.

I was so sure he would be great on Inside the NBA, but boy does he suck. He is a rookie at this, so I'll give him time, but it should probably go back to just EJ, Kenny, and Chuck.

Am I going to get flammed for saying Kenny is the most annoying?

EJ, Kenny and Chuck are awesome. They play off each other really well and they all know each other's and their own place.

Shaq tries to act as though he's above everyone else which isn't working.

C-Webb had difficulty fitting in initially but I think he's become a lot better now.

He's ok but he'd be better if he wasn't on the same set with Barkley. He needs to either be on NBATV, move to espn, or do color commentary.

I agree with most people that the Inside the NBA crew already had the perfect chemistry. Charles is the butt of the jokes but has former superstar insight, Kenny is usually cracking on Chuck but can offer role player insight, Ernie keeps it all together but has the fan's perspective...it just works. Shaq kinda tries to crack on the other two but ends up saying goofy stuff like Chuck but isn't as good a sport about it.

C-Webb is much better relative to shaq. Why bring in shaq when they had a winning formula already ?

Entertainment is what gets you to the top.

Inside the NBA did a good job hiring Shaq. People don't care about their opinions, they care about their entertainment values. At least in my opinion that is.

Agreed. He's too much of a clown and Barkley already plays that role. And better.

You’re right, except Shaq’s not an entertaining TV personality at all.

Barkley hardly ever gives good insight, but I love him on the show because he’s comedy gold.

Shaq can’t give an in-depth analysis on anything, nor is he charismatic or funny at all. Whenever he drops one of his lame one-liners, there’s always this silence before the rest of the cast puts on a forced laugh. It’s just awkwaaard.

shaq comes across as too strong a personality. He tries to be funnier than Chuck, always talks about himself as a better player than the others (which he was but it comes off as a-holeish), and is condescending.

The show revolves around Chuck's good natured personality, intentional and unintentional humor, and general presence. Shaq appears to be trying to make it about him, and it isn't working. He just isn't as likeable as barkley.

He sucks, but I knew it would come out of shaq at some point. Haha he finally cursed on tv last night when they were going to commercial.

EJ, Kenny and Charles was the perfect recipe. Like all good recipes they should never be changed. When you add another major ingredient like Shaq the outcome is going to be different. I don't like it but I'm trying to get used to it.

Last nights closing segment with the Twinkies and Shaq telling Charles 1 word: "Angioplasty" was pretty funny.

It's just starting out. I don't know about others, but no way in hell did I expect Shaq to immediately mesh well with such a well established and long-running trio. Just like Reggie, Magic, and C-Webb, it starts out with a lot of awkwardness, but it will get better as time goes. There were some great moments last night with the funny math, twinkies, and them arguing who's the better looking woman. The great moments will increase as they gel, the awkwardness will decrease, and in a couple seasons, they'll be a great quartet.
