Sensitive much? No one said a 4-3 is crap. It's about fit and personnel. Should Wade leave, it would be nuts to do anything other than bring in someone running as similar a scheme as possible. You don't take an elite top 3 defense and make a radical change. The only things they should consider doing is getting help at Kareem's position and possibly seeing if another NT athletic enough to play 1-gap is out there. And I say possibly, because this unit has jelled so perfectly and Cody's been surprisingly competent (with Mitchell rotating in). It'll be interesting to see what they do in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

I'm pretty sure that the team used the last draft to invest heavily in a 3-4 defense. Just gotta face the facts brah, your idea is stupid.
They knew they weren't going to win this season, so instead of spending big in free agency (which is the least efficient use of money in the NFL) they continued their plan to build through the draft. The also brought in Haynesworth because it would not negatively impact their future cap room. Mark Dominick is taking a longer term view than shelling out big bucks for Asomugha or another free agent now which will require a longer term commitment and could affect their ability to adapt on the fly when they are closer to contending. His plan also loses more games in the short term resulting in higher draft picks, something a lot of people around here have been calling for the Rockets to do. So they are currently terrible, but they won a Super Bowl in the last decade and are looking at a fairly bright future, hardly making them a crappy franchise. It would be very difficult to make a cogent argument that a franchise with one playoff appearance is better.

Trust me, I know. The Bucs are my team. I watched almost every game (and I don't get the games at home). They were a bad call in the Lions game from knocking the Packers out of the playoffs. They also played a very easy schedule last year, only beating one winning team all year. This season they had one of the toughest schedules. On top of that, Freeman was never going to repeat his 25 TD 6 INT performance. They need a few more pieces to contend.
