I dont like Twill at the SF or as a swingman ..... I want to see him at a position where his size and strength are an advantage rather than a disadvantage. As a SF he's facing guy's much bigger on a nightly basis.

Move him to a guard spot and he's one of the bigger players at the position in the league .... but that wont happen as long as Martin is on the roster.

I have been saying this for quite some time. Twill should play the 2, Joe Dumars style. I really like a rotation of Lowry/Dragic/Twill. Lee does not have their handles but is a better shooter so I would keep him too. McHale is forced to play Martin because he is the accomplished scorer.

You can make your own karma by playing all out when you are in there (ala Chandler Parsons), but I guess some players need to get over the thinking that it's not cool to play that hard.

By putting Parsons in the game, McHale is showing the team that if you play hard, you'll have a better chance to play.

    Agree with Yodels and Corrosion.

T-will is too small at SF. He would have to defend small forwards which are 6'8"-6'10". Carmelo, Rudy Gay, Lebron James, Durant, Granger, Deng, Gallnari, etc. He is giving up 3-4" on most of those guys. He doesn't have the size or strength to guard them. Parsons is a better defensive match up at SF.

T-will's size is better suited for guarding SG.

rockets are fugging up t-will next big contract. i have a weird feeling he will be back next year for cheap. This is what happens when you become Morey's asset

I think we have a really good 2nd unit if we ran:

    Dragic
    C.Lee
    T Will
    P Patt
    Hill/Thabeet

The 5 is our week point obviously, but in my opinion, we could have a really decent 2nd unit. Why mess that up by throwing T Will as a starter?

Hang in there Terrence! You'll get your chance.

But I really don't blame McHale for not playing him. I mean, who are we gonna pull? Bud? Its just one of those things that happens when you have a glut.

I have a feeling injuries will come into play again and when they do, T-will will make the most of it.

Or he could end up being shipped out for pennies on the dollar like Shane and Aaron.

How is this not a doghouse? He's behind rookie second-rounder Parsons and sophomore second-rounder Budinger. McHale saw him in practice and saw his production in games. After seeing that, he wanted Parsons and Budinger, not Williams. McHale obviously doesn't like what he's doing out on the court any more than Adelman did.

Well, I'm glad he's gonna tell him something. He should have said something before the game if he had any idea at all the twill would be bench riding that game. That's one thing I hated about RA is that he never told guys what to expect. IMO you can save a lot of frustration and hard feelings if you tell a guy up front that today isn't their day because you need to give someone else a chance. I think an adult would understand that and be ok till next time ...

The dude had to wait when Adelman was here and now McHale is doing the same thing. This is just wasted talent on the bench. He deserves a chance!

He should be seeing some playtime in the next 2 games. 4 games in 5 nights has gotta take the wind outta someone...

So that makes 3 coaches that don't believe that The Squid is good enough to play (yet). I know he is trying and all that, but talent usually floats to the surface. If he is truly this spectacular all around talent someone should/will notice. I know there are more cases of talented players being benched and then given a chance to shine however, only Drazen Petrovic comes to mind and maybe TMAC.

So you are insinuating that it is Morey's decision not to put Twill into McHale's rotation? Sounds a bit far-fetched to me.

Objectively, I understand it is a shooting slump, but Chase Budinger hasn't been doing too much on either side of the ball. He hasn't been shooting very well, and hasn't been getting too many of those backdoor passes he got in the Adelman offense. Its best to kick him out of the rotation and give the younger players a chance. Twill plays harder and is a better defensive option. If Chase isn't shooting the ball well...there is not much else he brings to this team or is better at than Twill. I understand Twill is selfish at times and has erratic passes and does not always have confidence in his offensive ability when he gets to the rim, but those things will only improve with playing time...

You have to feel good about McHales response to that question about Terrence. It seems like if any coach is going to be able to difuse the Terrence Williams situation its going to be him. Seems to understand both sides of the situation and can empathize. However he's a hard nosed coach who isn't going to sugar coat things.

You had to know that the Terrence Williams -coach benched me now im going to tweet my frustrations- situation was destined to happen AGAIN this year.

Good to know its going to be handled the right way this time to prevent a lockeroom distraction like the on that happened last year.
