In our WINS this season, Lowry is averaging 8pts 8.6reb 11.3ast In our LOSSES this season, Lowry is averaging 19.2pts 5.6 reb 8.2ast
That's very interesting and a very telling line of numbers. When we win, Lowry's mates are hitting shots and Lowry is making plays for them. When we lose, Lowry's mates aren't hitting shots and Lowry has to shoot more himself. And whether we win or lose, Lowry plays his a... off.
nope when lowry decides to be kaptin save a ho and is jacking up shots, his team loses. the ast column on the win side might be jacked up cos of that 18ast game he had. but he runs the team like a pg, we win, when he tries to get his, he loses. hustling is not always a good thing, u might be shooting your team in the foot while hustling. u wanna know who else hustles, andray blatche- thats who
This doesn't really say anything. Lowrys FG% isn't horrible so its not like he's hogging the ball and shooting us out of games. It just so happens that majority of our wins are blow out wins when both the offense and defense are clicking so Lowry registers a lot more assists because other guys are hitting their shots (aka Scola and Martin). On our losses, this is against teams wherein we struggle on offense and defense, so there are a lot more offensive breakdown and Lowry has to do more "iso" ball, resulting in higher points. There is no correlation to Lowrys pts and the team's wins/losses. That's like saying the Pistons won whenever Milicic played during the Bad Boys 2 era.
That is currently being skewed by an NBA record game. Lowry was the first person in NBA history to have 18 assists with no FGs. That single game is skewing the already small sample size.
He is shooting 47% from the field in losses and 41% from 3 in losses. He is shooting 30% from the field in wins and 16.7% from 3 in wins. If you want to define that as jacking, go ahead. I'll take that jacker. By contrast, Scola is shooting over 51% in our wins and 45% in our losses, Martin is shooting 42% from the field and 50% from the 3-point line in wins, while shooting 40% from the field and 18.8% from the 3-point line in losses. Lowry scoring more in losses is simply a function of the opponents concentrating more D on Scola and Martin and giving those shots to as many other people besides Lowry as possible. Lowry is taking as many of those shots as possible and is being very effective with them. Scola and Martin are not. Lowry is our most efficient offensive player and it's not even close. He's also our best defensive player and it's not even close.
We need..........a primo center that can score efficiently and be a primo defensive player. If you added Dwight to these guys without taking any of them away, we would be championship material as all the other pieces would fall in place. And that is what I'm rooting for. Without that one single piece, we are a lottery team. If Morey could actually pull off a deal for Dwight at the deadline and we are still around .500, we could make a very serious move deep in the playoffs. Even if it cost us most of our bench because the mediocre to poor efficiency that this team is playing with with Scola and Martin as the top offensive options for Lowry to play off of are not very efficient. We need a superstar in the worst way. Dwight, all by himself, is making Ryan what's his name over there in Orlando look like a freak'n Hall-o-Famer. However, I seriously doubt Dwight....or Deron is moved by the trade deadline. I think one or both of them will be traded at the end of the season to a team that they will agree to extend with for one year, similar to what Paul did for the Clippers. And the team that winds up with Dwight and a primo point guard to go with either a primo swing man or power forward is going to be very dominant. That's the Miami beater right there. Ahh, I digress.
Nah Nah easy there, I remember games of 2 points and 6 points, how efficient and consistent are those. Lowry is not an all star, Lowry hasn't done anything speciela. It just happens he's one of the few bright lights of this short season, and we r over hyping him
Most every player in the league is overpaid and overhyped. So, we may be overhyping him to keep him in line with the other players that are being overhyped. You can't find 7 point guards in the league that are better than Lowry at a time in NBA history when we are awash in talent at the point guard position. That is not overhype. It is fact.
Derek Rose Chris Paul Derron Williams Rajon Rondo Russel Westbrook Tony Parker John Wall Ty Lawson I think thats 8
Give Kyle some all-stars to play with like Parker and Rondo have had their entire careers and he is just as good or better then those two. Paul is the only one hands down better then Lowry. -James
Keep believing that. Right now, John Wall is not close to being as good as Kyle. Ty Lawson is nice but he's not better than Kyle. 16-3-6 vs 15-7-9. Kyle is outright better. You may make the argument that Ty is almost as good, but that's about it. Tony Parker looks good. Kyle's better. What do you think Kyle would be doing on the Spurs? LOL I'll give you Paul, Rondo, Williams, Westbrook, and Rose. I'd even give you Rubio if you wanted to throw him in there. Nobody else is better than Kyle. And a couple of those are questionable.
The only guy who isn't better playing with a star is the guy who rides the pine since the star's arrival.
so we give up a solid starter, 2 guys going down the end of the their career. for two future stars? (deandre jordan will be an all-star, don't worry about that) im sure the Clips will be willing to give up on their future
