Definitely. Lowry is a nice player but if you have a chance to get one of the next elite class you go for it.

That would satisfy everyone on the board. Those of us over 30 who want to compete get the organization's best effort every night, and the tank crowd gets the lottery pick!

As much as I like Lowry. If we were to get this chance (which I doubt), then we should do it.

We were in the midst of traiding him to the Hornets, how much more lottery can you get?

Drummond, Davis, Lamb, Barnes, Jones, Sulligner, Beal, Gilchrist over Lowry? PLUS a future 1st rounder?

Top 10, let the rest of the season be the Dragic-Parsons Project.

I'm leaning towards yes, unless Lowry really emerges as a top 5 PG this year.

I don't think Lowry's stock is so high that teams would actually give us their top 4 pick. We'd have to add more to the deal (our lottery pick in addition to Lowry, for instance).

We need to remove the lottery protection on our pick and send Lowry and Scola to NJ for Deron at the trade deadline so we can entice Dwight here.

Lowry's stock is definitely not that high. He's underrated around the league. He's seen as a good young player. He's a starter, but not close to star potential.

Good point, I'm not sure you get fair value for Lowry in a trade. He is rather the glue to build a young contending team around.

This! ...or trade him for a high lotto pick. Obviously Scola, Martin, and any of our young "assets" to get high lotto picks is the more preferable route, but if we have to move Lowry to get a "franchise" player, we should. right now, even as good as lowry is, we don't have a franchise player.

Now ya'll are just making sh** up.

Stern wanted Ppat and Lowry thrown into the trade, THAT was the deal-breaker.
