You said this season, Wade has been super inconsistent this season, Chris Paul is a better player at this point.

Arbitrary and nonsensical method of determining superstardom

Good job CP3! Clippers have got some problems though. If we're being honest, this win had a lot to do with Wade and LeBron missing a lot of shots they would normally hit.

I wish they had found a way to keep Eric Gordon. Now that would have been a sick team.

Chris Paul had a 4.5 assist:turnover last year - twice that of D-Rose. Name drop - Chicago - Jordan - Bulls- oh **** MVP, obviously...D-Rose wasn't even the best PG last year.

I'd give Chris Paul more than 7 games to jump to conclusions.

I think it is a fair way to determine whether one is a supertar. Paul is a great player but he isn't a superstar and his game has declined relative to his 2008 season. So in conclusion my original post is accurate.

In addition the guy is averaging 15 ppg and 8 assists for the season. If you think these stats are considered superstar level your definition is nonsensical.

Chris Paul has ALWAYS played slow. That's one of the best things about him, he's one of if not the smartest basketball player in the league. He just understands the game so well and controls the tempo of the game. One second he's tossing Jordan a lob on the break and the next he's slowing it down to work the PnR to free up Griffin. But, it's always what the team needs, when the team needs it.

He's a very very special player.

Sure his assist to T/O ratio is better than Rose but give it a break. Rose is better than Paul so even attempting to argue this point is laughable.

He was a very special player a few years ago.....now he is just a very good player. I know it looks bad arguing against the guy considering he has a great game a few hours ago but we must take into consideration the whole season as well as last year.

Lets all take a step back and realize that the Chris Paul that was averaging 22 ppg and 11 assists does not exist. Once we understand that and look at how he has played the past 2 seasons including this one we will come to the realization that Chris paul is no longer a superstar. It was fun debating have a good night.

I'd also like to add that Paul is leading the league in steals per game.

    and is shooting:

    51% fg%
    44% 3pt%

He's a floor general of a point guard. Using points as the main stat to determine the star level of someone who plays that position is outrageous because of what their duties are.

You make him sound worse than Lowry. I'm sure you would take CP over lowry. Don't even argue.

    Yeah. Overhyped.

Rockets should try for Chris Bosh or Pau Gasol instead.

Thabeet or Samuel D. are also better investments.

Hell Yea i'd take CP over lowry. It was funny how I was the one defending CP a few days ago when ClutchFans had turned on CP and were on Lowry bandwagon. Again i just call it like i see it. I think cp is a great player and top 3 pg in the NBA i just don't consider him a superstar.

This thread and the "awkward treadmill runner" thread have to be the worst simultaneously running threads I have ever seen on Clutch. The timing of this thread is impeccable.

CP3 plays better defense than Rose. But I guess all you care about is flashiness. CP3 gets it done and makes it look easy.

maybe he doesn't have to put up 22 pts and 11 assists a night anymore...

but he is doing what it takes to win

27 points and 11 assist against the Heat. I can't wait to see when he's not under performing.
