You can take that to the bank! We've made it through a torturous start, and now we get 9 of the next 11 games at home, and none against 'elite' teams. 2 overtime losses in our last 3 games (the other a win) leads me to believe we might just have firmed up the rotation slightly - Parsons starting has given us a LOT more than Bud did, I think we'll find some wins in bunches over the next few weeks.
typical rockets. beat the bad teams, lose to the over .500 ones, finish with a "meh" record, miss the playoffs and get another 14th overall pick. repeat
lets hope not. that would be awful. we would be right in the middle. the worst situation a franchise's can be in any sport.
I have them being 8-13 at best. Yes, their schedule does get a whole lot easier. But we're talking about the Rockets, the worst defensive team in the league with one of the worst benches to boot. Just as we're looking at opponents and licking our lips, opponents are doing the same when they see Houston on the schedule.
Rest of January: Fri 13 vs Sacramento 7:00pm Sat 14 vs Portland 7:00pm Mon 16 @ Washington 1:00pm Tue 17 vs Detroit 7:00pm Thu 19 vs New Orleans 7:00pm Sat 21 vs San Antonio 7:00pm Mon 23 @ Minnesota 7:00pm Wed 25 vs Milwaukee 7:00pm Fri 27 vs Washington 7:00pm Sat 28 vs New York 7:00pm Mon 30 vs Minnesota 7:00pm
I really don't see that many wins in there. Some of these teams like Sacremento still have go to guys that can take over in the fourth. Hell if Wall gets out of his funk against us the Wizards can beat this team. I take it game by game though as things change (injuries to either teams players) and looking at the next game I could see them keeping that game close and then Evans going crazy in the 4th to win. Sacremento is a bigger team and if Hayes is healthy I think he can slow down one of our best players in Scola.
Oh right - because the season ends after January? if we were to go 8-3 in our next 11, then wouldn't the trending be that we make a good fist of Feb? I would think that 11-10 means that we're heading towards the playoffs [hardest part of schedule behind and winning mode turned on]
