never loved that guy He coudn't even dream to be a healthy Tmac's replacement. So bad is his effect on the court.
He is what he is--which is not a go to guy. Dude is too light in the shorts to be the man in end game situations On a contending team he would be a sixth man.
He's a poor man's Reggie Miller with one dimension, and one only. But he needs to go. He hurts us too much defensively and is a ball-stopper. It seems pretty clear to me he's in that "get mine" mindset this season after the whole Gasol trade debacle. Seems like his care about the team and his teammates has completely flown the coup.
Lol. I love these threads. If Martin would have had thirty, there would have been a status about him being an all star up.
Martin needs to adjust game from trying draw fouls to just trying make shot. Overall, he did well...just need more from him in crunch time.
I think it's clear that we could use another SG this upcoming offseason. Martin is not the future there. Too much of a one way player...you know which is fine if he continued the offensive onslaught into the 4th qtr and onwards. I dunno...maybe a guy like Jeremy Lamb...
This is the same thread but renamed. I was watching the game and Martin should of gotten a lot more calls.
Nope, the refs called it right, if a player looks to make contact as a way to get to the line they are not going to call it. Kmart's days as an efficient scorer are long gone. DD
Yeah thats nice and all but still, if in the position he wouldn't be bad pick. Having a go to guy on the perimeter is much better in clutch situations than a go to player in the post.
he needs to put the gamer in his own hands and get buckets instead of counting on refs to bail him out. we said his last year. hit jumpshots or drive hard to the lane and finish around the rim. but his late in is career, he is who is he is and will not change.
Now the new punching bag for clutchfans is Kevin Martin. He is struggling in this "I Have No Clue McHale Offense". He is not a spot up shooter. He is a very good scorer but you have to draw up plays for him coming off multiple picks. He moves great without the ball. Adelman knew how to use his talents as a scorer. He needs to drive to the basket more but our bigs are clogging up the middle. I don't mind if Rockets trade him but we better get back a 20 pt/game scorer back.
Martin is disappointing, but he really needs to be used more like Reggie Miller. I want Martin coming off of screens instead of trying to break down his man off the dribble.
