So many bad memories from 2008. I blanked them out until this topic.... Ugh the Browns. Best not to think about them anymore.
great thread. You have to embrace your past to successfully move forward. Allowing the seahawks to pound us with their running game on National Tv, was pretty low. I believe alexander and their full back all went for 100+. Giving away picks to the raiders. the let's open the roof and sweat out the steelers and their black jerseys, only to get destroyed. Watching our O-line get dominated every game. Rosencopter. Our defenseless defense of 2010. We've come a long way.
Why does the Browns game bother everybody? It was meaningless. It didn't set up 2-14. The foundation for that failure was set up long before that game was played.
No. Those other games hurt but we sucked so i got over it a lot faster. This season adding wade, a real cb, and our weapons on offense this was the first yr I had big expectations for the team.
This was it for me. I hate losing to the other teams in our division. I couldn't help but LOL, but i was crying inside. now go out and kick BMore's ass!
Despite all the very good points made about the hail mary and the 4-game swoon, Rosencopter takes the cake for me. Never before or since was I angrier as a Texans fan.
this thread is depressing...for me its either the game against baltimore, arizona, or jacksonville. after each one, i really thought we were either cursed or needed a total over haul to be able to win
THIS. That's how I feel, although the worst moment to me was Kubiak breaking the news about Schaub. from feeling so high and excited, to instantly feeling down.
When Matt Schaub threw that pick 6 , I instantly knew at that moment that he was not going to be franchise QB. I have a knack for these things. I would of bet the land on Aaron Rodgers after seeing him play against the Cowboys , in relief of an injured Brett Farve.
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/bZP6pAgFqHU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> And our first five seasons were a wash because of it.
The Jags hail mary, while shocking, did not bother me nearly as much as the 2009 losses I pointed out. I think I was already convinced that we needed to fire Kubiak at that point and clean house, and our defense wasn't getting us anywhere, so I was expecting losses and dreaming of Bill Cowher or Jon Gruden. Looking back, though, the Ravens, Jaguars, and Jets losses were gut-wrenching last year. I had already put all hope in the rear-view though.
Man, that is impressive - not many people have a knack for predicting success for former first round picks.... Incredible.
Only things that really ****ed with me pre-2010 was the Indy collapse and the Rams choke. I say that because before last year, I hadn't picked/prediction/thought the Texans would make the postseason.
1. The strategy to go for it under the old rules and Boselli going down with the career ending injury. 2. Ironically enough for me ... Kubiak escaping the axe two years ago and later being handed his extension.
So many to choose from, but I have to go with Rosencopter, that was a monumental collapse. Hiring Casserly was a HUGE mistake. The Boselli injury changed everything. Drafting Carr was another stupid move. And one could go on and on. Depressing to even recount this stuff.
Rosencopter and the fumble on the 1 yard line are the first two to come to mind. We've had so many heartbreaking games, I'm sure I'm immune to them by now.
