I think drafting a good QB gives a team stability. I won my league with Stafford (8th round) even after McCoy laid an egg. For the most part QBs are the most consistent performers week to week, no matter how my other positions performed I knew Stafford was good for at least 20 points.
This is actually a keeper league, and I wasn't able to get the players I needed to build around my keepers.
What do you guys think of me trading Jason Terry for Kevin Martin in my 20 team league? This is my team: PG - Jrue Holiday SG - Demar Derozan SF - Hedo Turkoglu PF - Paul Millsap C - Dwight Howard G - Jason Terry F - Glen Davis Util - Jared Dudley Util - Derrick Favors Util - Mike Dunleavy B - Patrick Patterson B - Gordon Hayward B - Josh McRoberts(just for this week) From the looks of things, I will be lacking in FT% a lot because of Howard so having Martin on my team should balance that out. I will be banking on Martin being his usual self and not what he was like in the 2 preseason games and on opening night. Kmart and Derozan might seem redundant but I might look to deal him for some assist help if I get Martin. Thanks!
ESPN is telling me that Arian Foster might see limited playing in week 17 because the texans are locked into a playoff spot. Should I sit him and play somebody else? I have Felix Jones, Brandon Marshall waiting on the bench for the RB/WR spot.
Alright I just got offered a trade in a h2h league Me giving up Lowry and Al Jefferson I'll be receiving Blake Griffin and Darren Collison My team- Dwyane Wade Kevin martin Al jefferson Lowry Paul milsap Louis Williams Michael beasley Roy Hibbert Andray Blatche Josh Smith Ty Lawson Andre Miller Emeka Okafor this is a keepers league too btw...should I do this trade? I'm leaning on doing it..not sure though
nope. you are paying a premium for blake griffin dunks. Jefferson and Blake are comparable in fantasy terms, probably more dunks for Al. Lowry>>>Collison all day long.
Got a couple trade offers: Giving up Nick Young for Tim Duncan - Young doesn't give you much more than points and 3s but Duncan might not get much run on b2b games and could be inconsistent in fantasy this year. Giving up Paul George for Dorell Wright - George is off to a hot start and Wright is off to a slow start. It seems like George's ceiling this year might be about what Wright did last year. If Wright could repeat then this trade might be worth it. What do y'all think?
Dorell Wright will not repeat his performance from last year. With Curry, Monta and Lee playing more comfortable than ever before, Dorell is the 4th option on the squad. Brandon Rush coming off the bench also takes a lot of his stats that he should be getting. With the Pacers, they are a very well balanced team, with scoring options ranging from Collison, George, Granger, West AND Hibbert. I think they are identical players in terms of stats this year. Both will be about the 4th options in scoring for their squads, but will pick up rebounds and stats in other categories just because they both receive starter minutes. Dorell Wright should have a tad bit more "upside" though.
Are we using this thread for basketball now? I need some strategy advice... This is the conundrum -- I have guys like Love, Gallo, Bosh, and Jennings, but also have Bynum, Jordan, J. Smith, and Rondo -- that kill my FT%. Should I deal Love and forfeit 3's and FT% to bolster by BPG & RPG? Or build around Love who is clearly a top 5 fantasy player? Which is easier?
Depending on who you plan on or are able to keep. If you can make Griffin one of your keepers over Jefferson and Lowry definitely.
So I am trying to trade for Andre Iguodala because I need a SF badly. Right now I have Josh Smith and Joe Johnson, so when the Hawks dont play, I have a hard time filling the position. I am thinking either make a deal around Joe Johnson, or something with Tyreke Evans and Luis Scola as the other person needs those positions. Thoughts?
I'm about to drop his ass too. I can't believe I rejected a Manu trade hours before he broke his hand. Do I hold onto him with no ir spot?
Should I trade Kobe and Joe Johnson for CP3 and Ty Lawson? What about Just Kobe for CP3? I've always had faith Kobe would not miss any games because of his injury, the dude has been even more selfish than before and he's lighting up the stat line. What do you guys think? H2H 12 team 9 cats league
If you're hurting that bad for a PG yes. CP has had his share of injury rashes the past few seasons, but given there are essentially 4 PGs on the Clippers roster (when Bledsoe gets back) he should have balanced amount of minutes compared to what he played in NO. I say go for it.
I got two trades offered to me guys. In one, I would give up Spencer Hawes & Devin Harris for Wesley Matthews. In two, I would give up Josh Smith/Hawes & Harris for Danny Granger and John Wall. 1. Josh Smith and Wesley Matthews? 2. Danny Granger and John Wall? Which two would you rather have? Just so you know, I have solid bigs and Paul/Lowry at PG. I'm just looking for general upgrades. I'm leaning towards number 1...
Alright should i accept of trade of Monroe for Curry? - i have dwight, al jeff, monroe, hawes, tyrus thomas as my bigs - i have lowry, kmart, eric gordon, ray felton, wes matthews , sumfert, danny gramger and toney douglas as wings? - 12 team league
who should i put in as my starters for tonight? andre iguodola vs. knicks or gerald wallace vs. orlando
