You heard it hear first. Chandler Parsons is a impoverished third world countries poor mans Kevin Durant who plays good Defense.

Wow Parsons playing like the best SF in the draft tonight. Considering how streaky his shots are I don't see him having a lot of performances like these, but the important thing is his effort and hustle is there every single game. His shot may come and go but if he goes all out every game he be a net positive on the team.

It's rediculously early, but so far, Parsons has been showing us what we've been missing from the 3 spot. I give McHale credit for not only recognizing what Chandler brings and playing him, but actually making him a starter. Again, it's early, but maybe, just maybe, we've found our best option at the 3. With luck, we can stop talking about playing Lee or Williams there when Chase just doesn't fit the matchup. I think Parsons and Budinger have it covered, at least until Morris plays well enough to earn time at small forward. With the length of Parsons, we finally have someone who can bother the long athletic wings that have been giving us fits, the guy can also make buckets from range, and we've found a position that people can stop putting Williams at in speculative posts.

Have the Rockets managed to get lucky? Lord knows, we're far under our quota, and have been for years now. Gotta say it, and I'll sound like someone who lives in my neighborhood and loves to go by two initials, but I'm excited about Parsons. Very excited. :)-

Someone mentioned Odom and I think that's a fair comparison. Odom has more athleticism, but also lack effort. But they're both all-rounders with both size and skills you don't expect from a 6-10 guy.

If Parsons becomes a better shooter he could make Morris a career backup. ;)

Kirilenko with less athleticism, way more grit, and a much better jumper.

Morey please simply skip 1st round in the coming draft. He has a better eyesight in 2nd round.

Just the range of comparisons people are making for Chandler is interesting. Budinger, Kirilenko, Odom, Mike Miller, Shane Battier, Ryan Bowen, ...

Its rare to find a multi-skilled energy player.
