I'd really like to see Chase at the 2 in between Lowry and Parsons. I have a funny feeling he would much more effective book-ended by good defenders who can also shoot and get him the basketball. Right now, Martin is not giving us much. I'd like to see what CBud could do in his spot.

Battier wasn't a physical defender, he just had extremely high basketball IQ. Ariza gambled too damn much. Artest was at the time too slow.
I wonder what scale they used to weigh Parsons. He's not even as wirey as a rookie Durant so how does it say 200lbs? I am fascinated about this. This guy is a solid 230 or more ...

Chase is in trouble. I like to took at the Boxscore to get a good feel for what the minute rotation looks like. So far I have noticed Kevin likes to run a 9 man Rotation made up of 5,4,2/3,1 off the bench. When Lee comes back from injury some one who is playing minutes off the bench is going to move to dnp-cd land. I that someone has a name and it is Chase Budinger. If Adelman was still coaching this team Chase would have nothing to worry about. But Kevin couldn't give 2 craps about loyalty. It is all about results on the floor. Chase has alot to prove before Lee comes back from injury.
That may be true but really Chase hasn't played any worse than Martin. When Lee gets back, I wouldn't be surprised if we traded Martin at any point. I maintain Chase is a 2 and will look much better at the 2, defending smaller players than SFs and being able to get his shot off against smaller guys than SFs. I think he deserves a shot at the 2 in between Lowry and Chandler. He just might surprise us there.
I disagree about Bud playing the 2. From watching him this season, Bud has improved his positional defense and is out of position less than before, having dropped that ass. He's also improved his post defense and doesn't get punked every time a bigger player posts him up. However, he still gets blown by by quicker guys on the perimeter- that weakness has not been improved upon. Playing at the 2 will only mitigate his improvements and expose his inability to stay in front of quicker guys more. He also can't create for himself on offense. I'm not saying it's impossible for him to improve and be able to, but I haven't seen any ability to do so as of yet. The prototypical 3's skillset on offense is to hit the open 3, finish on fast breaks, and slash to and finish at the rim. Bud has that role down.
You may very well be right. I'd just like to know for certain about his game. The same way that I want to see TWill run the point for one entire quarter with scorers around hiim. I want it clearly defined what he can do and can't do. That way we know what we are trading away when and if we move them.
