Oops meant to say Lakers lose out on CP3 and Howard and Nets lose Deron Williams.

Wouldn't it be funny though if he stays?

Magic GM suddenly trades for a 2nd tier all star or two and they get to the ECF and he re-signs?

That would screw so many people's plans.

What will Lakers do now without CP3 or Howard?

What will the Nets do now to convince Deron to stay?

What do they have to trade? Hedo Turkoglu? Oh yeah, teams are lining up to trade for him! J.J. Redick? Jameer Nelson? Glen Davis? Jason Richardson?

I'm not sure they have the flexibility and/or attractive pieces to trade to actually get someone else in there with him.

With all of this, I hope Paul and Dhoward get boo'd every arena they go through just like lebron. They didn't do it like him, but them, Melo, have the right to leave and choose where they want to, but it is not necesserily right to do just becuase they have the right to do it. Screw the franchises/owners, the loyal fans at home that have no choice but to stick with our team and just invest mentally and our money to support our players and say we are in it for the long run. Look at our very own fans in clutchfans, we haven't been as competitive, but all stay here and stay loyal through thick and thin.

[rQUOTEr]ORLANDO, Fla. -- After meeting with the Orlando Magic's new CEO and talking to new teammate Glen Davis, Dwight Howard seemed to re-open the door to staying with the team.

Meanwhile, sources told ESPN.com, the Magic currently are not planning to trade him.

Over the last several days Howard has gone public with a trade demand and criticized team general manager Otis Smith for not taking his advice over the last several years on personnel moves.

On Monday at the team's media day, Howard softened his stance and hinted that he would consider staying with the franchise if there were changes made.

"If it is meant for me to stay here, I'll stay," Howard said.

"I love this city. There is no place I'd rather be but Orlando. I just want to make sure we have the right things here so we can win a championship. I'm all about change. If you're willing to change and you're willing to do what it takes to win then, you know, you got me."

    ...

Martins said that despite Howard twice telling the team he wanted to be traded and asking for permission to speak with the New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks or Los Angeles Lakers, that the team still believes it can convince him to stay and extend his contract.

"I'm an optimist," Martins said. "I am confident that we can work with Dwight and convince him to stay here long-term."

Nets dont have much, if anything, to offer.

I think Orlando bites the bullet and sends Howard to LA for Bynum at the deadline, which screws up the Nets who will realize they can't get Howard until it's too late.

Williams leaves, not sure where he goes or who has cap space.

    LA wins more championships.

Nets continue to suck, fail in brooklyn.

    parity my ass.

Link? I have a hard time believing they would and say that. I could use a laugh if they did.

According to the Mavs scenario, what if every other G.M. in the league cockblocks Dallas by not trading for Marion? If nobody trades for him, they can only sign one or the other, correct?

Oh yeah, why did ascaptjack get banned? I just noticed.

I realize that article says Marion has value, but feels like propaganda. How many teams would want to trade for him?
