I haven't ordered it yet, and after the lockout and The Devil Stern's screwing of the Rockets, I swore I'd punish the league by not renewing, but I just can't live without my Rockets. Guess I'm ponying up the bread to the bastards.
Why would anyone pay for this? Plenty of sites offer the games for free online and league pass is pretty crappy (blackouts and what not).
We guys outside of the US get Nba.tv for 165€ with all regular season and playoff games, pretty sweet compared to the past, had to subscribe.
i like to watch in HD on cable or on the internet. vs begging people online for an updated link to a crappy stream every ten seconds and every single game of the season.
Not reliable, lower quality, and I don't live in the Houston area anyways and the Rockets don't show up on national TV all that often.
League pass's video quality has been pretty good, but all the blackouts (especially games on NBATV -- how is that a "national TV" when most cables don't have it in their basic line up) are really annoying me.
Just bought the 5 team deal with League Pass since all I watch is the Rockets mostly. Even tho this season is looking a little shaky I still must watch my Rox!
The increased number of games on NBATV really diminishes the value of both LP & LPBB and is why I'm still on the fence.
If you have an iPad, I would try to get the league pass app, it's only 40 bucks and the bigger screen is decent for watching games.
Most of the first few Rockets games were on NBATV or some other national cable channel, anyways, so NBALP didn't do much good for us Rockets fans.
