ATT with Skyrocket HD interesting. Maybe I won't have to simmer in jealousy for much longer.

You're definitely right about that. I nearly pulled the trigger on it because I didn't think they were going to get the Nexus (looks like that was a good bet), I ended up balking due to the screen resolution (looks like that was also a good decision, haha). I'll never go back to something less than 720P. I'm a total graphics junky.

Hm, I thought it said speed pass. I might have been off on that. Meh. ^_^

If you can stomach the size, I'd buy the Galaxy Note. It's just too cool. I might be too embarrassed to make phone calls on it though, haha.

Heh. Since you're a graphics junkie I'm sure you'll like the news of the new GPU's from PowerVR

I think I might just sell my skyrocket for one of these notes. It certainly can fit in pockets, I think I'd use the stylus a lot.

Plus the AT&T GNote also has LTE :)
ICS also has stylus support built in so I think that'd be a great choice

Honestly, I'm considering picking one up as my AT&T device myself. Saves me from getting a tablet...but that Asus...

The $249 Tegra 3 tablet is something I'm waiting to see more details on. Looks intriguing though. So far, I think it might have potential to beat out the Fire and Nook Tablet.

Based off the information I know right now it's going to kill both of them performance wise, and it comes with ICS. As for sales, who knows -- people really like the Kindle and Nook brand names.

Also, Asus isn't a huge name in the US outside of geeks. It always surprises me how many people are running around with HP/Dell pieces of junk and have never heard of Asus. The powers of advertisement.

    Btw,
Don't overclock this phone to 1.42ghz if you're using Imoseyons kernel (Rooted users)

Your phone is going to go ape ****.

    1.35 works fine though :)

Yeah, I failed to mention that. My bad.
GSM too. Some can handle it but not every phone can lol. 1.35ghz is a good slot for overclocking

Nice. Is it much different than the stock 1.2 ghz? Run hotter? faster?

It feels faster in my opinion. Doesn't run much hotter at all. The kernel I'm running is pretty tweaked.

The stock kernel on these phones are already undervolted so that helps, and also, if you do plan on messing with clock speed, don't use SetCPU profiles. Especially for "screen off" as the TI Omap 4460 does this automatically

While I don't support one click root methods, as I like using ADB and fastboot (This is the right way)

    Verizon Galaxy Nexus 4.0.2 only
That Galaxy Nexus toolkit actually works well. My friend tried it on his Nexus and had his bootloader unlocked, and his phone rooted running a custom rom in under 30 minutes.

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400871

Just a couple of tips if people plan on using this.

    First of all, READ :)

The toolkit will do everything for you, and it is safe to run again if for some reason it fails (it will detect what has been done)

After it unlocks your bootloader (this erases everything so back your stuff up ), your phone is going to take it's sweet time turning back on. Don't be scared if you're stuck at the boot animation for 5 minutes or more. My advice is to go take a crap and come back, or walk away.
Don't forget to install "su.zip" once it boots you into clockwork recovery for the first time (The program will automatically put it on your internal SD card and tell you what to do, and it will also tell you how to navigate through recovery in case you're a total noob lol )

If for some reason, recovery failed to write and you're greeted with Andy with a big red X, DON'T PANIC. Take out the battery, wait 10 seconds, put it back in and you'll boot right back in the OS. Make sure root was successful (download root checker) . If not, re-run the tool.

Once you're rooted, you'll be good to go. Except there is one last thing. The next time you boot into recovery, you're going to get the RED X. Reason is because there is a file in the Nexus that writes stock recovery right back onto the phone.

There's two ways of getting rid of this. (prevent as well)
If you don't want to flash a custom ROM, and just want to be rooted while on stock 4.02, using a problem like "root explorer" , and navigate to /system/recovery-from-boot.p, and either delete the file, or rename it to an invalid extension . Once you've done this, download "Rom Manager" and select flash recovery (Be sure to select Galaxy Nexus CDMA)

If you do plan on flashing a custom ROM, have it ready on your internal SD card, go to ROM manager, write recovery one more time, and install the ROM.

*Disclaimer* I'm not responsible for anything, but I will be more than willing to help .

    Enjoy

    P.S
It something goes terribly wrong (which shouldn't , and if it does you shouldn't be rooting) the Toolkit also has the ability to flash the stock images onto your phone. This is helpful in case you ever want to unroot , or something happens.
