Looking forward to purchase my first new car sometime by the end of this month with half down payment towards a nissan gtr.

I'd just finish building my super silver gtr black edition with all the goodies or BS accessories on the nissan website and my summary came out to $99,287 w/ destination. Hopefully someone from clutchfans can help a member out with a discount. I'm willing to pay the msrp price or a little above it.

If you can make it happen PM me with your number. I will throw in 2 rockets tickets near court side if i can walk away with some what of a discount.

Yeah, good luck. You're not gonna find one in the state or even close to Texas. When I looked you basically had to "bid" against others for the prized 1 or maybe 2 every other dealerships get, plus you have to throw down a huge non refundable deposit.

You're not going to pay under $110,000.00 for the 2012 GTR and your ESPECIALLY not going to get any kind of discount, lol. A good friend of mine, Clint, is the GTR mechanic at Clear Lake Nissan and even with his help I had zero luck.

Also, have you ever driven one? I have two friends in our car group who have one. Yes, it's amazing fast but it gets boring quickly as you can rarely hit it, the car is like a robot and you barely even have to do anything to drive (boring) and unless you track it often it's basically a worthless car to have. It's def not the greatest DD. Still don't get this is your first new car and you chose this?

Yeah I'd talk to one dealer and he was beating around the bush with the price but from what I read on some gtr forum. People are paying right around the msrp price. I refuse to pay 5k over the msrp because anything over 95k msrp is being greedy when they get it wholesale around 80k.

I plan on using it as my everyday car so the boring part where the pc does everything for you instead of you doing it manually doesn't bother me. I hate to be stuck in traffic with a manual going to work everyday. As for my first new car I like to go all out. It was either this or bmw 6 series coupe. Both are around the same price.

Well now that's quite the contrast... what's the reasoning behind the 6 series?

    (don't say mission impossible...)

Will post a vid of the car asa i can a hold of one with roxsqaud name written on a piece of paper.

The 6 series msrp starts out at 73k but with all the upgrade it comes out right around 90k which to me if you going to buy an expensive car might as well go all out. I think the coolest innovation is when you turn your wheels. The round set of headlights move accordingly to whichever direction the wheels turning to. Pretty neat and creepy at the same time. The HUD is also a +

But in the end my mind is made up. You'll only live once and ever since this car first appear as a concept back in 2003 with the crazy specs. I have to go with the r35 gtr. I don't care if the new r36 hybrid comes out next or 2 years from now. This is the car i want to drive for the next 10 years or so until i can get a Lamborghini aventardor that is :p. the 2012 gtr 0-60 in 2.7 can make any exotic European car owner frown upon.

I forgot what it's called "auto-leveling?", but I think Lexus and some other manufacturers have this on their vehicles as well.

Congrats on the pick up, if you can find one. A buddy of mines owns a 09 gtr and loves it.

Couple of things, the turning headlight is "Adaptive Headlights" in the BMW lineup, which is an available option on the entry 3 series. Other manufacturers should have equivalent, so that alone shouldn't be a deciding factor.

Also, maybe you're made out of money, I don't know your financial status, so dropping 6 figures on a car might be no big deal to you. But I'd do a little more research on the car before making it your DD. The ride is rough, and the maintenance/repair will cost more than a few pretty pennies for such a rare car.

Good luck and have fun. I'm very jelly right now.

I'm 30 with no kids of my own to take care of. I have no debt right now other than my mortgage. All my life i drive use cars from my very first toyota cressida to my current 98 honda prelude. I finally found a business profession that is very profitable. All this with no college degree. Wondering what kind of profession with no college degree help me make 6 figure digit? Mobile apps! That is where all the money is at and anybody can develop one and start making money as long as you start learning now. There are so many resources on the internet to help out. One particular app that my team of partners is working on has gotten several VC interested in it. Hopefully it's one of those successful start up like dropbox or facebook.
