Just looking at the expressions on the faces of Johnson and Mathieu, you could see that they were dejected and dumfounded and had no confidence in LSU's ability to come back.

Do you think Oklahoma State would beat this LSU team?

    I certainly do.

LSU had the 12th best scoring offense in college football and got destroyed. Alabama is the best team, Oklahoma State would have caught a similar beat down.

what's funny is that if you do believe Alabama was the best team, had they not gotten lucky and caught breaks they wouldn't have been in the national title game. Like if OKST. had beaten Iowa State Alabama would not have been able to play for the championship.

Basically the BCS system sucks soooo much. In an 8 team Playoff, you can be pretty confident that the team that pulls it out will be the best team in college football.

i want a playoff as well but saying a team was lucky when their only loss was by three points (in OT) in a game where they missed four field goals is kinda crazy.

The benefit of defense, turnovers, and special teams. They never had to have long scoring drives because they usually started with very good field position. They were 73rd in the country in yards per game.

I never understood why LSU didn't put Mathieu on offense for a few plays.

Congrats to Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Kentucky, Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State for winning the 2011 BCS National Championship. Now Alabama actually won it but we all know the other 11 schools did as well and will tell you all about their victory for the next year.

Bama should have won the first game, and proved why they should have.

Don't apologize. I'm an Aggie I have to remind myself that there is male sports at this school. None of them meet expectations.

What a downer of game. I must admit it was boring, unlike their previous matchup.

Jefferson really hosed this thing for LSU. His throwing downfield was inept, his pocket presence was abysmal, and suddenly he became a complete liability running the option.

Alabama's defense is amazing, but LSU's offense just totally flubbed it - and that starts with Jefferson.

I know I suggested earlier that they should play best 2 out of 3 if Bama wins, but after watching that garbage a second time, I hope to god they don't do that.

Doh. That's what I get for posting right before I fall asleep. Stopped watching when it was 15-0, even though I saw they tacked on the touchdown after I stopped watching.

The two games between these two were so bad, the SEC should not allow them to play next year. No one wants to see this garbage for the 3rd time in less than a year.
