This whole "beef" has been pretty interesting. People are quick to say Drake is gunna get destroyed, but we haven't really seen what he can do in this situation. Let's just sit back and enjoy the show.

    Common is a legend.

Drake, like his boy Lil Wayne, have effectively killed hip hop...

I have bought one Common album, Be, and thought it was incredible front to back.

I only know Drake's singles and that he looks like giant Canadian douche that is not from Houston.

lol he should have just admitted he does not freestyle, good flow.

As for Common, I am not a fan, he pretends to be what most rappers are not.

One that hasn't paid attention to Common's music...Such as myself.. Not my preference/haven't bought any of his CD's/ and so on and so forth..Dudes songs aint bad , but don't stand out to me. I may be in the minority(on here of course) but Common doesnt strike me as a great... If I'm an idiot, then I must be one of the million-plus folks that jams Drake's music...I'm betting some of the very people claiming Common a hip hop great, haven't bought or supported one album...

    Drake isn't even a rapper.

I consider him an artist based on his work.

Not sure what you listen to but most avid hiphop/rap followers consider this year a great one.

    Ye/Jay released an album.

    J. Cole's freshman album was incredible.

    Wale's album wasn't too shabby.

Plus you had a bunch of up-and-comings with Wiz Khalifa & Big Sean releasing albums.

Kendrick Lamar ain't too shabby either.

We have this guy saying common pretends. The other guy said common isn't a real rapper. Dudes saying they havn't heard Common, but "drake has sold millions so he might be better lol". Foolishness, this hurts my hip-hop heart.

he's a pop rapper. not that there's anything wrong with that but he should just embrace his millions of dollars and not try to front. to paraphrase jay-z: would u rather be underpaid or overrated?

i would choose overrated all day anyday. look wat happnd to mc hammer wen he tried to be "real" n joined death row records
