Kyle Lowry's NBA career started since 2006, he's only been a starter for about one full season. Umm, what else should i call him? A career starter?
You don't understand, "all-stars" are not role players. Was Kobe Bryant a "role player" because he played beside Shaq? Was Charles Barkley or Clyde Drexler a "role player" when the Rockets formed their own big 3? And you are making a stupid point. Lowry WAS a backup, you don't call somebody a career backup if they've been a starter for TWO years in a row. I can't stress how stupid that point is. You're saying just because Lowry was a back up a few years ago, he is a career back up. Do you even know what career back up means? It means you've been a back up your whole career. You're calling a starter a career backup, if your brain has any brain cells left, try to interpret what that doesn't make sense.
why are you so infatuated with using the word career? just call him what he is. a starter, probably the best player on the team, meaningfully improved, with near all-star level talent. the end.
i never tried to detract from Lowry. I made a point in an initial "reply", and once i proved the guy wrong, he got mad and tried to nitpick my reply, and picked the line about Kyle Lowry. He's the best player on the player right now, thats true.
You didn't prove anyone wrong. You said Lowry is a career back up right from the beginning. That's stupidity.

The term "trolling" seems to be applied to anybody who doesnt refer to Morey as jesus. Everybody has they're opinion
That's either strawman argument or you didn't read the context. The poster above you repeated the same post twice, the first time around it was answered but he posted it again anyways.
Obviously you are not blind, cos you repeated the same question I already answered. Why do i gotta waste my time replying to you, when just above your post is a perfect answer to ur question. Kyle Lowry's NBA career started since 2006, he's only been a starter for about one full season. Umm, what else should i call him? A career starter?
Wouldn't you call a player a "career back up" if they played their whole careers as a back up? Lowry isn't even close to having his career done and from here on out he would be a starter on many teams until he's past his prime. Thats just my opinion on what a career backup is.
I don't think firing Morey will solve our problems. He has some good picks in the drafts as well as some bad ones (more good than bad). My only problem with Morey is that he keeps collecting players. He came out and said all of our players are assets for a bigger deal and he will trade anybody on the roster. even if that is his plan, he shouldn't have come out and said that to the media. When you treating these players as assets and not human beings, then the other players around the league notices also. No stars wants to come to Houston because we dont have another star to play with. Tmac would never came here, if it wasn't for Yao. Barkely/Drexler/Pippen would never came here if it wasn't for Hakeem. The only realistic chance we have now to get a would be super star player is through draft or maybe a would be super star coming out of Europe or other foriegn country. Dallas is very attractive now for Dwight bcuz Deron Williams will be signing there this offseason becuz he is from Dallas and Mavs have plenty of Caproom. Also they already have a super star in Dirk.
No. Neither label makes sense for a player who still has a long career ahead of him and thus far has started 107 games and has come off the bench for 211 games. He is, right now, a starter and a damn good one. That's all that matters.
Scola is the only player I like on this team. There it is I said it and I feel much better. We can not possibly compete in the playoffs with this team as is.
Id say that your interpretation of "losses" are in my idea poor interpretation. I wont go on ad naseum about why but its clear you want to justify Morey by manipulating his poor decisions into "tbd's" or "evens"
Probably just better to admit you were wrong. Kyle Lowry might have been a career back-up when we traded away Aaron Brooks. But any guy who is putting up the numbers he is right now and is 25 years old - that label no longer makes any sense. When someone says, this 25 year old player is a career back-up, it clearly implies that you are speaking about his future, not his past. Maybe you meant differently, but no one is buying that. So either admit you were wrong or just stop arguing the point and let it go.
When AB got hurt, Kyle had been a backup his entire career but he is clearly a starter now, and deservedly so, he is playing great......one of the only Rockets who is... DD
