Because you guys realize that's what's going to happen right. I don't see anyone in the West even competing with the Thunder right now.
What puts it over the top for me is the weight loss by Perkins. I couldn't believe how well he moved around the court against the Rockets
Beating a re-energized , focused, and embarassed Miami team in a 7 game series will be damn near impossible.....
I would also put OKC on top of the West but a lot of things can happen. In the Finals, how can you not make Miami favorites over everybody (at least right now)? CCorn, I'd put the Grizzlies near the top but I have doubts Z-Bo can return to dominant form quickly enough to carry them in the playoffs. Heavy players like him don't bounce back quickly from knee injuries. Grizz have no chance unless Z-Bo is putting up 25/12 and wearing out the other team's big men. I also give the Clippers and Blazers a chance to make the Finals. IMF, would be a dream if the Bulls knocked the Heat off but I don't see it happening. A Bulls/OKC Finals would be a dream come true (right behind Pacers/Rockets).
Tough match up for the Thunder, the Heat can Lebron/Battier on Durant and Wade on Westbrook. Durant can guard Lebron, but Westbrook cannot guard Wade. Either one of the starters will have to step it up on offense, or Harden will have to improve defensively enough to cover Wade.
Blazers beat them in Regular Season....maybe they can take them to 7 games if LaMarcus is playing like an elite men.
It should be will OKC be able to beat Miami in the finals? There's no way the Thunder would be favored to beat the Heat in a finals. Besides, the team with the most superstar talent is going to win in a shortened season.
Miami matches up really well with OKC's stars. Wade on Westbrook, Lebron on Durant. Bosh can have a similar, albeit lesser, impact as Dirk had when he played OKC. Forcing Ibaka to leave the paint and guard him on the perimeter. Not a good draw for OKC. OKC's bigs would have to dominate the boards and clog the paint, which is hardly far-fetched, and Westbrook would have to reach another level. Harden is the x-factor.
