Just rewatched that play and I just don't get what Howard was trying to do. Daniels is lying on his back holding the ball up with both hands. Howard wraps his arm around Daniels' hands and the ball and starting doing this ridiculous swimming motion.
This season reminds me of a movie in which someone makes a deal with the devil & they get exactly what they asked for, but with a twist. I think someone sold their soul so "Texans make the playoffs" . . . but the devil adds "without Schaub . . . Mario . . . and . . . maybe Andre".
At this point in the season... I am just taking these injuries as dues we pay to the fb gods... cause it's like the taxman... you ain't getting away from them.. they mad it seems. Hope it's minor.
Still no confirmation? Come on, I know we've got to have an X-Ray Technician Insider here on ClutchFans somewhere....
"Our @CasserlyCBS reports @HoustonTexans Owen Daniels WILL be able to play next week against #Ravens."
I'll go ahead and paraphrase/predict the news on OD's injury: Monday after OD is diagnosed with a broken hand: "Well John, he has a hand injury that he is going to be getting treatment for during the week. As you saw, he was able to play the rest of the game but you just don't know how this type of injury will respond to treatment. He'll be day to day." Tuesday after OD is diagnosed with a severe infection on his hand: "Well John, Owen is still getting treatment for that hand injury. It is a tough one ya know. We'll continue to evaluate him this week and hope that he will be able to play on Sunday." Wednesday after OD spends the night in the hospital because he hand has swelled up to 3 times its normal size: "Well John, Owen didn't practice today because he was getting treatment off the field. We'll hope he can maybe participate in some of our work tomorrow." Thursday after OD has to have his hand amputated: "Well John, we held Owen out again today and let him continue to receive therapy. I don't want to rule him out at this time. Our trainers think he may be able to take some reps with the first team tomorrow." Friday after OD is fitted with a prosthesis: "Well John, unfortunately we weren't able to get Owen any reps with our 1st teamers today. He looked real good running on the side. He'll be a game time decision. We'll have to see how he feels on Sunday before we make that call."
It's one thing for it not to be as jig of a loss as one of the best WRs in the game or a starting QB the caliber of Schaub. But it's way too much to say that you're just as happy to see Casey out there. Casey is not as good as OD and not even as good as dreeSsen as a starting TE
I guess no news is good news, right? If it were a serious break, I think we would have heard about it by now.
Fairly close. "Kubiak at the podium: TE Daniels has a hand issue, but it won't keep him from playing or practicing. Still an evaluation process." https://twitter.com/#!/HoustonTexans
Owen does have a hand issues. Wont keep him from playing. Hell be back on the field. Nothing that will hold him back.
