Have to trade Scola/Kmart and rebuild. I like both of them, hopefully they could go to a team in hopes of pushing the team over the talent edge. You would think of Minnesota, but Wes Johnson or even D. Williams(they would never do that but he is more tradeable than Love or Ricky. Also both the same position as Marcus Morris. But we need to trade 3 or 4 guys and basically bring in 1. Or just a couple different deals. Budinger+Hill for Anthony Randolph. Scola+Martin+Dragic (looks like Maynor is done for awhile and they have to be impressed) for James Harden. Dalembert/Thabeet Patterson/Randolph Morris/Parsons/Williams Harden/Lee/Williams Lowry/Lee/Williams//////////////Flynn
Lee, you are probably right. But there reasoning would just be to receive the 3 rotation players over a young Harden.
Rockets trade: Lee, Scola, Flynn (exp. contract), Bud, NY pick Get: Derrick Williams, Randolph, Brewer, Bobcats pick We get some young talent with potential since Les doesn't want to tank. We would have to take on Brewer's contract (which isn't that bad), but he bring the defense we would lack with Lee gone. Lowry/ Dragic Martin/ Brewer/ T-will D-will/ Parsons Patterson/ Hill Dalembert/ Randolph Minny trades: D-will, Mililic, Randolph, 2013 OKC 2nd rd pick Get: Bogut, Sanders Bogut would give them interior defense when healthy. Bogut and Love frontcourt is very formidable. Sanders is an underrated shot blocker. Great bigs are hard to find in today's nba so their stock increases a lot. Ridnour/ Rubio Johnson/ Barea Beasley/ Webster Love/ Sanders Bogut/ Tolliver Bucks trade: Bogut, Sanders Get: Scola, Asik, Flynn (exp. contract), Ny pick, 2013 OKC 2nd rd pick Bogut's a nice player, but they need a change. Asik has potential to a become a Bogut like player if they can re-sign him (with flynn's expiring they should be though), and Scola gives them consistent veteran low post scoring. Amnestying Gooden next year puts them in the right direction again as well. Jennings/ Livingston/ Udrih/ Flynn Delfino/ Dunleavy S-jax Scola/ Ersan Asik/ Gooden Bulls trade: Asik, Brewer, Bobcats 1st rd pick Get: Lee, Mililic, Bud They're going to lose Asik anyway to FA because they can't afford to keep him, so might as well get something in return for him. Darko is a great serviceable center who has 2 more years on his contract after this season and Lee could do some damage with Rose. Bud is cheap and can provide offense when Korver goes cold. Depth is key especially for a team with championship aspirations. Rose/ Watson Rip/ Lee Deng/ Bud/ Korver Boozer/ Gibson Noah/ Mililic
If Maynor has a serious injury... Martin to T-Wolves ←→ Johnson, Ridnour, Randolph to Rockets Ridnour, Hill to Thunder ←→ Aldrich to Rockets Johnson or Lee, Randolph to Blazers ←→ Batum, Babbitt to Rockets
Maynor hurt, Adelman frustrated. Opportunity to trade Martin for the right pieces to get Aldrich and Batum? http://www.twincities.com/rss/ci_19696070
@WojYahooNBA: As @DarnellMayberry reports, Eric Maynor will miss season with torn ACL. Thunder's been high on rookie Reggie Jackson. Gets his chance now. @WojYahooNBA: Sam Presti and Troy Weaver have great eye for young talent. Boston College's Reggie Jackson was absolutely player they wanted in 2011 Draft.
I watched Jackson at BC. IMO, he is extremely underrated. I was kinda hoping he would slip to the 2nd and Morey would draft him. Great wingspan, great defender, can shoot it. Can he organize the team and run the offense is the only question? The skillset is there.
That would be a terrible trade for the Thunder even if there was some way to make that work salary-wise.
Ridnour has been putting up Steve Nash like numbers the last several seasons. When Amare signed with the Knicks he wanted them to go after Ridnour. He described Ridnour as being Steve Nash lite with a similiar PnR game.
I'd love to see us somehow get Love out of Minny. It's very unlikely but Martin + Scola could probably get close to getting it done.
