Another play with Kevin Martin passing and cutting. Easy bucket. Trademark Princeton offense<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/X7GRSoyTNlg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It likewise works with Chuck at the high post. Trademark princeton offense.

The hallmark of the offense is the backdoor pass, where a player on the wing suddenly moves in towards the basket, receives a bounce pass from a guard on the perimeter, and (if done correctly) finds himself with no defenders between him and a layup.

Adelman actually made Morey look better with superb coaching likewise made Les more money , what a way to show your gratitude by dumping him. Minnesota will be seeing more bounce passes and cutting to the basket.

I looked at the Offense and Defense rating in 2k for adelman and mcHale. There was a huge difference.
    RA: Offense: A, Defense: D
    KM: Offense:C, Defense: C
why couldn't we keep adelman even tho our D was bad

He didn't want Morey picking his assistant coaches.

Yet the Rockets are 30th out of 30 so far in D compared to 19th last year.

I'm curious how the Rockets defense stacked up last year against only playoff teams. And how they stack up last year when counting 2 road games to 1 home game.

Also if you want to point out more stupid, meaningless stats, the Rockets offense is currently better than the Wolves offense.

McHale is 1 tall mofo. He's clearly taller than Scola and about Dalambert's height or a little taller. So his Morety thought, hey I gotz dem a tall ass coach, what more do they want?

The Wolves who won 17 games last year? Way to aim high.

I don't expect you to spout anything other than the company line. It's your M.O.

I think it was more about loyalty, ie not demoting/firing people under him.

Morey is a boston guy...Mchale is a boston guy. Not much to think about when it comes to hiring someone...it seems like Morey went with the most pathetically unreasonable option and simply hired the guy that he liked and was 'buds' with. It's as simple as that. Mchale has shown that he's a bad coach and bad gm in the past...anyone that thinks he's the best option to coach this team needs to have his head examined and fired.

I have the highest respect for Morey's analytics in terms of player assessment and acquisitions but he is underrating the importance of a good coach. He should've applied the same analytics in finding a good coach instead of a good personality. Well, Morey screwed Adelman, Stern ended up screwing Morey. Karma bites. He might be stuck singing this song now.

The thing about McHale is he's not an average guy. He's either super good (no evidence yet) or super bad

With McHale, you are guaranteed a former star player who knows how to stroke the egos of current star players and get the best out of them each game (KG calls McHale a mentor- not that the info says a lot considering kg is a douchebag)

However, if your team has no stars or is mediocre, expect a mediocre record for McHale. Actually, McHale has patented tanking with Minnesota, look how many high draft picks they got with McHale in the front office either as gm or coach.

Remember all those meaningless games after we failed to make the playoffs that Van Gundy and Adelman won just to ensure at least an average record for the season- thereby landing us a low draft pick each year. That **** won't fly with McHale. He goes into full tanking mode early, and he makes tanking a beautiful game.

Don't fire him, keep him until we can get as many high picks as we can, then give him a different position. Not Gm tho, cos he would trade all those high draft players to Boston for nothing.

It would be a reasonable strategy to tank though if as reported the rockets are paying about the same amount to mchale as they were to adelman, that is highway robbery. i think friendship had something to do with it, otherwise Morey would not be willing to pay such a high price for a coach to tank. We might as well have hired clyde the glide or paid him that dough just to tank and hired mchale as commentator.

I think its the height of hypocrisy for Morey to impose that Adelman ditch his friends, longtime assistants, and ends up hiring his buddy from boston.
