Hubie Brown Can't Count

    Watching the Portland game and after Robin Lopez makes a block Hubie goes into a nice informative speech on how many shot blockers Portland has compared to Phoenix.

    See if you can catch the problem. might have to turn the volume a bit higher since I taped it off my TV.

    Here is a spoiler of what he says in case you miss it or can't hear it.

    He says, "Portland has not only Camby, one of the better shotblockers, but then you have Marcus, then you have Camby, and then Batum. They have 4 guys who can block shots."

    overreaction

    Their team actually has four shotblockers in Marcus, LaMarcus, Kurt and Nick Batum. Actually they have five, fifth is Gerald but he still can't fit there defensively

    i actually get 6 if you throw in lamarcus and aldridge. and even though he only averages 1.0 bpg, you could probably count lamarcus aldridge for 7.

    Not even going to bother watching but that's a mistake anyone can make. He still has good a few years left of way above average nice informative speeches.

    I guess you didn't get the mess up, basically count Marcus 3 times and Batum once.

    Wow Hubie is still commentating, that's great. This guy is the best and most knowledge-able about basketball I have ever heard on TV. When a player make a truly great play, not necessarily a dunk or highlight of the day type a deal, but like a nifty pass, fake or just a move that allows another player to get an easy bucket the guy CAN go nuts :)

    Hubie for NBA Finals!

    LOL... so funny when you consider he did not say "LAmarcus," right? He said "Marcus." His counting skills are fine, he's just seeing triple of one guy!
