Agree with your post. Also, great moniker! I thought it was in reference to Stern's "basketball reasons" to void the trade, but you registered in 2008. Foresight?
For now, let Bud start. I like TWill bringing energy off the bench. But I d think Chase is better coming off the bench as well.
T-Will showed in practice that he can be a pretty good spot-up three point shooter. Once he settles, he will probably be a 38+% 3 pt shooter. Yes, he should start. With his aggressive play, he would take some of the scoring responsibilities from Martin. Not to mention more defense.
Budinger was pitiful tonight. There was a series of plays where Durant schooled him on both ends back to back. If players are too safe in their positions it's time to set an example. I'm in on starting TWill over Bud.
What Durant schooled CBud...wtf....how could a superstar actually school our guy? Expectations are out of wack here. DD
If they are going to make changes in the starting line-up, they should do it now while it is early. If it doesn't work out, they could always switch back.
http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=320106025 Terrence tonight -13 with him on the floor. Cbud -8 Neither was great, but one played more minutes and the team dropped further behind. Both were not that effective against KDurant, nor will they be ...I mean it is Kevin ****ING Durant. DD
Who cares dude? They are role players. Why does anyone want to defend these guys and contest about who should start and who is better? Doesn't matter. They are not good enough. Trade or lottery. Trade or lottery. Trade or lottery.
Budinger does suck. You can cite his defensive PER all you want, but he is not a quality defender, cannot create and is soft. Budinger will not get much better. Williams may flame out, but you take the chance of him developing now and start him over Cbud.
I'm gonna say it again. The only small forwards on this roster are Marcus Morris and Chandler Parsons. Chase is a 2. Yeah, a 2. No, the 2 is not the same thing as a 3, no matter what they tell you. A 3 has to defend players like Lebron James, Melo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Gerald Wallace, Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, Luol Deng, etc. game after game after game after game after game. Those guys have 2-5 inches of height, 2-5 inches of length, and 20-50 lbs on Chase and TWill. Chase and KMart are 2's. Lowry is a 1. Dragic is a combo 1-2. Lee is a 2 that can handle a bit. Flynn is a nothing. TWill is an enigma. And the only 3's on this roster are Morris and Parsons.
To be fair, Morris has actually looked surprisingly lost and terrible in the short amount of time he played. Morris isnt fast enough to guard the likes of Durant Lebron or Melo...he isnt big enough to guard 4's. Speaking of 4s... McFail obviously thinks Parsons is a 4 when he goes super small (which gets absolutely shat upon by the defenses) Twill is a 3, he plays bigger than he is. How U?
