until we know exactly what happened, benefit of the doubt goes to Lowry. He's been a standup guy whereever he's played and has not had any attitude or off-court issues. until there's clear evidence or multiple witnesses to support the malicious accusations of this female ref, i think there's no doubt that the ref has way more incentive to make this up. notice how she didn't charge him right away but instead after Lowry gets some media attention for his play this year, she is yelling foul? i'm not saying i condone his actions if these allegations are true. seriously though, everybody here has "offended" or gotten "abused" by much more severe acts than throwing a basketball at high speeds and not made a big deal out of it. point is our media and court systems suck
I just dont buy the whole women hit me 1st crap... Yeah these women out here push more buttons than a stenographer but a man shouldn't even have to defend himself... Walk the **** away..... In Lowry's case , he loses respect for the fact he threatened the lady.... Thats b****made IMO... An apology is bs... Oh I didn't mean it, is bs... His it's a legal matter response is BS... I saw it earlier than most people, but I wasn't at the least surprised by his actions...
There you go trying to play "he didn't do it".... He did it bro.. On a legal standpoint, I say let the courts decide.... But from a social standpoint, he lost my respect and he's a b****... People giving benefit of the doubt because he plays for the Rockets is stupid.. Of course these are just my opinions... So leave me be Billi
No problem with what you said but one thing. It seems to me it is very easy to lose your support from a social standpoint because this happened during a meaningless game and not during a social interaction.
No the fact that he threatened her outweighs everything else...Being mad is one thing, but saying stuff like "I'll beat your ass" is something totally different...Regardless if its athletes or someone on the street... I just find it very "b****like" to threaten a female as a man....
Well...... I stand behind the argument that referees if they call the game should be treated equally. You don't taunt referees.......for one, and you don't batter them with basketballs.......... The woman thing is blown out of proportion. I agree though.....he did wrong there but it's not as severe as what they charge other athletes with.....this one is minor and wouldn't even be discussed it were a man referee.
It is not ok.......but it's trash talk.......if anyone wants to take it seriously.....then someone gonna say " I'll you kill" and it doesn't mean he wants to kill you but beat you in the game......Things being said during pickup games should not be taken seriously. Just my 2 cents.
Right on, man! If Lowry did this to your mom/wife/daughter I don't think you'd left him off with a simple apology. What he did is about as unmanly as it gets. Threatening and harming women is something that punk-ass b****es do and just unacceptable.
1. Lowry did not beat the F out of this person. 2. Lowry did not release an appology he actually appologized to her in person that day. I find it very funny when posters over exaggerate the facts to make things seem so much worse than they really are.
What? He Hit her with a high rate of velocity while she was bent over. That is in the news report....go back and read. Not sure why it matters if it was a first or second attempt
sigh... well, just goes to show, being a good basketball player doesn't make you a good person/role model.
