Whatever. He's not going to jail over this. Fine, token community service, 6 months probation, maybe anger management.
If Kyle has to soften up, he will not be as effective. What I didn't realize was that Philly tough meant you abused women. DD
True, and those guys should have been charged with Assault and... wait for it wait for it Battery !! DD
So he got upset over a call in basically a pick up game? I wonder if the game was more signiffecent then we actually think it was. Maybe a wager. They were in Vegas after all.
Still doesn't say for sure who threw the fast ball at her and it sounds like she didn't see him do that one. Unless there is a witness or confession then I would only punish for the initial ball to the torso (light fine). Feb 2? Between Phoenix and the @Spurs.
These guys are professional athletes for a reason. They are uber competitive. Even Volleyball ginger beach boy Budinger displayed that he is extremely competitive. (Ron Artest incident)
So you went to the locker room and nailed the ball at the ref while he was bent over tying his show lace? Not tossing, but gunning it. If you did gun it, you got some violent issues of your own
One must learn to channel ones anger. Seriously though....it isn't tough to hit a woman, anyone can do that. Tough people are the ones who can take a hit...verbal or physical. Kyle might be tough on the outside, but he is soft on the inside
Watch his play, he is tough inside and out. The fact is people make mistakes and real men apologize and take accountability for their mistakes. According to the article that's what he did and he did it right away.
I do watch his play. And I don't care how he plays frankly. Real men don't hit women. It's a good thing he apologized. He still hasn't taken accountability yet. We'll see if he does.
That doesn't sound good, and I'm not going to say any more in his defense. I hope it was just a one time thing, and he's learned his lesson.
Real men don't hit women nor threaten them.... Mistakes are made when people by tendencies... You make a mistake and hit a woman means you have had that tendency... Whether its warranted or not , you have that tendency... Which is why Lowry is a b**** in my book...
Every time I hear people say something like "real men don't hit women" I tend to want to point out that this kind of adage should be updated for modern times. First of all, I'm NOT justifying hitting women is okay. But some women today are behaving less and less lady-like compared to the past and could even threaten the safety of the men around them. Granted, this is still in the minority but different situation calls for different behaviors. What Lowry did is obviously in the wrong since he threatened and assaulted a referee, which justifies his punishment. But if a lady comes up and physically assaults a man, or worse, uses a weapon, there is plenty reason for the man to strike back in self-defense. I think people need to make the distinction between self-defense and senseless violence. Self-defense should be gender blind and senseless violence should never happen (in a civilized society).
There you go making accusations that you don't know. That doesn't mean he has a tendency to hit women because he threw a basketball at her. I agree that what he did is wrong but everybody is trying to put a lot more into this and his character without even knowing the facts of what went on. Maybe real men don't judge and convict people without knowing all the facts.
