I meant to take Reddick off, but that's probably one of the best deals they will get if they wait. A borderline all-star (ellis), an all-star (amare), an expiring contract, and a future pick, while getting rid of Hedo's horrid contract is fair enough for D12 since they may lose him anyway. I'd bet d12 would be willing to stay in NYC if he had the chance.
No doubt you can't blame the Knicks for trying, but if I'm Amare or Chandler I would be discouraged nevertheless. I think this talk proves the Knicks were lying about believing they have a championship roster.
Seriously, the Knicks are a mess. Their roster is one that fits a JVG/Riley type of a system to accentuate their half-court scorers in Amare and Melo, and defensive presence with Chandler. Instead they have Pringles. They have tried to already trade Amare for CP3 and failed. Now they're trading him for Dwight Howard. Never mind that his contract and health is a huge risk, or that the deal is likely worse than NJ's or probably even the Lakers(Gasol > Amare IMO). Now they've pissed off one of their only scoring threat. And they have NOTHING. No picks. No young players besides maybe Shumpert. No salary fillers. No flexibility at all. Come the trade deadline, I think we can flip that Knicks pick for something nice.
Morey lied about stockpiling tradeable assets for a superstar....Why cant the Knicks front office do it??
sure he's putting up MVP numbers AGAIN... but you mean to tell me a Wade, Bosh, Howard lineup wouldnt make you pull that trigger???..... The Heat might win a ring with James... THEY WILL WIN WITH DWIGHT ... I'd do it if Im Orlando or the Heat...
He's not just putting up MVP numbers again. It's the fact that there has been a dramatic change in his game. He's basically going to the block on every possession, and he's taken zero threes this season. His fg is at 60%. His TO is down too. Dude is improving...
He took one three this season. Agree with your post though, no team on earth would consider trading Bron. There's no player close to him right now(don't bring up stupid Durant, he's nowhere near the overall level).
Doubt the Orlando bites, given that Stoudemire's contract cannot be insured due to his injury history. Natural for the Knicks to offer this, though: They want a stud, not a mare.
Hmmmmmm hypothetical here k.. Houston sends K-mart,Scola,Rookie,Picks(S?), Cash to Orlando Knicks send Players,Pick (If any),Cash to Orlando Houston Receives Amare...?
Now thats funny!!!......... The GM skills on this forum is fascinating........and downright scary....
I hate to say it but Lebron is looking like this is the year. I've never said that before in all the years that people have been hyping him. For the first time I actually think he can get a ring this year. And I don't like him so I'm not saying that just because I'm a fan. He just took his game to another level. It will be interesting to see how the playoffs turn out.
