This is another part that has me thinking. Why doesn't it say Lowry hit her with the basketball? Instead it states she was hit with a basketball.
Most ridiculous accusation ever haha! Stern will probably find a loop-hole and suspend Kyle for a couple of games because she was "an official"!
Yeah, how many normal people go to work and as they are wrapping up their day have a customer throw a basketball at them at a high rate of speed. That just sucks. What Lowry did sucks. I'm really disappointed in his actions. It is cowardly and weak to hit a person who isn't looking for a fight and is defenseless. And for a guy to hit a woman just because he didn't like the job she was doing is really disgusting. There is no defense for Kyle Lowry here. He's rich and privileged and just took out his anger on a working class person OVER A PICK-UP GAME! If I were the judge, I'd throw him in the slammer for a day.
Well why wouldn't it name him instead of insinuating that he did? Just seems like that would be the perfect time to say that the refs were standing there and saw Lowry come into the officials area and throw a ball at her. I'm not saying he did or didn't, just that it would make sense for them to add that in the story if they knew without a doubt he did. I also wish it would say where she was hit this second time around.
I'm not sure they really know who threw the 2nd time. Sounds like a poorly reffed game that got out of hand by Lowry the 1st time but there may have been others holding a grudge or someone just wanted to pile on because they thought it would be funny to hit her with the 2nd throw.
Thats enough for me to see the b**** in him... But all the other stuff you said was dead on.... But I wouldnt throw him in jail... I'd let her pick a family member, of her liking ,to meet Kyle outside in that parking lot he was talking about... Justice served...at least if it were my wife/sis/aunt/neice/mom....
"B****, meet me outside. I will kick you’re a**" The author of that article can't distinguish between "your" and "you're"...freaking pathetic.
i have the espn app on my iphone and they just sent me a notice saying "Rockets G Kyle Lowry charged with battery, accused of throwing ball at ref in sep 22 game at vegas" uh ohhh think espn is gonna talk about it now
Because for the first throw they had specifics. The second throw, only that a ball hit her while she was in the changing area.
Have I ever thrown a ball at a ref? You bet I have. Have I ever thrown one at another player? Of course. Am I a rich privileged person because I did? Well, I'm certainly not rich. And you can be assured that I have had customers yell and cuss at me. People can be assholes some times.
Kyle Lowry won't be doing community service. He'll just have to hire a good lawyer and pay some extra cash. Class B misdemeanors are nothing to rich people.
But since he already does community service, and it provides good pub, community service is nothing to him. Really its nothing to normal people. I've been ordered community service three times, and didn't to anywhere near what I was sentenced to on any of the occasions.
I am dissappointed in his lack of professionalism - it just reeks of NBA entitlement bull****. I thought Kyle was better than that.....either way, hopefully he learned his lesson. DD
Espn has some more information on the matter: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7432477/houston-rockets-kyle-lowry-charged-battery-las-vegas
