It was prolly some bull-d*** messing with him the whole game. He ain't no thug. Just had a bad day during the lockout at the very worse.
If this happened at Impact Basketball during their summer league then I'm not condoning what he allegedly did, but I understand (Chris Rock voice). Those refs were TURRIBLE, just TURRIBLE. A lot of the players got mad and really upset with them including Lowry during one of the days I attended. Guys were getting hit left and right and they were letting a lot of dangerous plays go...a couple of guys, Jermaine Taylor was one, got injured as a result of the garbage officiating or lack thereof and they just ended the games because they didn't want more guys getting injured.
He apologized. End of story. Why is this b*tch going to the police? Seriously this would never happen in Europe. "Hello officers someone threw a basketball at me twice, lets sentence him to some jail time or lets make sure he gives me a ish-load of cash." The exaggerated sentence's on small matters such as this or people having to pay because their dog sneaked into the neighbors garage and ate some food is something that I always despised.
why is the referee considered by the police to be a 'protected person'? especially when she threw the ball at lowry once as well
Definitely don't condone what he did but I'm pretty sure he'll be sentenced to community service and serve no jail time. Worst has happened and yet no one cares when it happens to regular Joes and Janes but when it happens to someone famous or someone who makes money it suddenly becomes an issue?
He probably didn't realize that's not a dude. Or he didn't quite grasp the concept of "I'd hit it." Seriously, this seems to be like a non-issue. He acted like a jerk in the heat of the moment (towards a woman, which makes it worse), then he apologized and that's where it should have ended. It's an embarrassing story (especially because of what he said), but battery? Come on now.
Cincy vs. Xavier basketball brawl in which 1 guy actually spilled blood and the DA didn't bring charges there. Why would DA from Vegas want to do this? I blame this on the overzealous ref and a egomaniac DA. This only happens in America, if this was China, the lady would be jailed for troublemaking.
It says later in the article that when she was with the other referee's she received a rocket coming from no where in her face. Kyle was just trying to get the assist!
