Remember the end of the Lakers game? After Lowry got his shot blocked he went out of control and went full speed at the post hoping to hurt someone while going for a shot.
I agree that it seems a bit extreme. But you know what, Kyle Lowry should know better. You don't throw basketballs at a high rate of speed at people for any reason. No matter if you lost control or not. That is not an excuse and shouldn't be acceptable in a civilized society. It's an object. It can cause damage if thrown with enough velocity. No one should have to bear having an object thrown at them at their place of work and risk getting hurt. Maybe she didn't really get hurt this time. But the fact remains he did something wrong.
He has seemed upset lately he's been yapping with the refs alot almost as if hes crying about every Lil thing last year he would say or do nothing he would jus keep playing or move on but he's been crying to the refs lately
I just don't think throwing a basketball at someone warrants a $1,000 fine or 6 months of jail time. Regardless, I can only imagine the hatred if T-Will were to pull something like this. People would literally be calling for him to get 25 to life. LOL.
It's hard to judge......obviously the girl played basketball herself so being beaned is a common thing.
Sounds like a moronic move, but it's hard to believe the intent was to cause injury.... and the proof is that there wasn't an injury. Don't they give NBA players a class explaining that they are rich and famous, and there are people out there with the intent to embarrass and rob them?
interesting that while he "threw" the ball at her, she simply "tossed" it back to him. something doesnt sound right. im willing to bet that she threw the ball back at him, which is why he said he would kick her a$$. if that is the case, in response to her law suit can he file a law suit againt her as well?
6 months in jail?? man i remember when rodman would kick camera guys and barkley would spit on fans. you can't get away with anything these days. lowry's my boy and i'll stand up for him no matter what. if lowry spends 6 months in jail that will probably mess him up a little and his game won't ever be the same.
Living in Vegas, I can tell you that more than likely he will walk away with a $1000 fine. The jails are too overcrowded here so I doubt he'll get any jail time with a misdemeanor. Unless of course, he's like the genius Floyd Mayweather with repeated offense after offense...
to add to my last comment. assault for throwing a basketball at somebody? and she was the referee at the game???? what the @#$% is wrong with the "justice" system these days. assault is more like attacking somebody with your fists. this should get dismissed but nevada is pretty harsh i heard. everybody that's religious please pray for lowry to get out of this. i don't blame him a bit. it should definitely be thrown out of court and laughed at. i mean throwing a basketball? come on!
