I didn't know that trash talking to a woman referee is actually meant seriously.
This is not even a professional game. People trash talk a lot. This is blowing out of proportion. Nothing was at stake.

In a court of law it's not supposed to make a difference.

I personally would have had no problem if one of the guys had decked Kyle and told him, "that any more comments and another thrown ball will get your ass kicked for real." But taking someone to court for being an ASS is just crazy IMO. And that is just my oppinion. I guess I'm just old school.

I know it shouldn't make a difference in law, that was the point. The moral question here really isn't the point, it's crazy to think someone should be charged with a crime for throwing a basketball at someone.

Regardless, I'm sure we have the ALL the facts here. Clearly she is after justice and not money..

Maybe they just had a heated argument..and it became a little rough.....
She just needs money to heal the bruises, and what is left.

The lengths people will go to in order not to be used an asset. This is Rockets culture now. Not as bad a the "fans" in the GARM but getting there.

That is not true. It's not up to the victim when it comes to criminal charges.

I agree with what you say. It's crazy. I think you are being sarcastic with you last comment. If so I support your sarcasm.

She can drop the charges. It happens all the time. Have you ever picked on a jury and waited for hours only to have the balif release everyone because the charges have been dropped. I have. She filed charges, she can drop the charges. With out her their is no case anyway.

btw: I thought you only had 72 hours to press charges on battery. But not in Vegas I guess. Just when you thought you were out...Vegas pulls you back in. Is that it?

Wow, what a joke... our tax dollars are paying for this? She should have just accepted his apology and moved on.

LOL, her lawyer will probably get her in a neck brace before the trial starts.

that is what is weird. Domestic violence requires the victim to file charges within 72 hours. But a beaned ref can file charges months later???

We are getting very soft as a society.

Lowry likely lost his cool, made empty threats and threw a basketball at someone. Then apologized shortly thereafter.

I mean really, this warrants criminal charges. Gender doesn't matter in this case, a ref is a ref. This is ridiculous.

    $$$ :(
