What if that woman murdered your entire family and sold your daughter to Slavers.

this comment was made during a heat of a game and not in a situation where Lowry wanted actually whoop her ass. I don't understand why people freak out so much. He apologized and it should be over. Don't know why she is doing this thereafter.

I'm not trying to make you into anything. You are what your are but I do enjoy seeing you get so riled up. Quite comical. I never said that it was not technically against the law. I'm just currious how full our courts would be if we prosicuted every person that ever made a hollow threat.

Would you have had to defend yourself in court? I would be willing to bet money that the answer to that question is yes.

Your just being silly. Kyle was an ass and should be embarresed for his actions. Personally speaking for just me, I would prefer to spend my tax dollars after a real threat to society and not support some frivilous charges of assualt.

Players are used to being refereed by men. In the heat of the moment, when not really thinking, he perhaps wasn't consciously considering the gender of this official. Just that it was a ref who was really pissing him off.

Lol @ the guys who think he threatened her. Guy is a pro baller, he is not a low life guy. He travels all the time.....when does he have the time to track her down and 'batter' her again?

Met Lowry once and he just acted like a jerk... Been saying that on here since the Brooks/Lowry debate first started..

Honestly, if he really aggressively beaned this ref with a basketball, a fine could be deserved. But that's leaving aside the gender of the referee. I just hope that doesn't play a role here in him getting some extra punishment.

That's not an excuse to challenge a woman to a fight, unless you are arguing he somehow did not realize she was a female.

If he threatened to whoop her ass outside the gym I would guess his traveling schedule doesn't matter

    Very fishy story.

There was some form of altercation, the Lowry apologized. But when the second ball was thrown in the dressing room, were the male refs changing in the same room with the female ref?

Also, if there was a credible threat made, why didn't she notify the police earlier or behave in a way that is consistent with a woman who is being physically threatened by a much larger person?

You're supposing that he actually wanted to fight this woman, and he didn't just blurt it out in a highly emotional state without really considering the sex of the individual in front of him.

Just because the other refs are backing her does not mean that is not looking for money. It seems that he may be guilty, and as such broke the law. Just glad he didn't beat a woman.. This is mild by comparison.

Wow can't imagine Lowry being like that...I think there has to be more to the story IMO...hey no ones perfect....regardless of outcome I think he is a good guy and happy he is part of team...

i think it comes down to the kind of game that it was....if lowry did that in the NBA, it's still technically battery, but they handle that in-house. That's the way it's been and im sure the NBA has it's way of discouraging refs to file legal charges. Out there in some loosely organized pick up game it's not the same. Seems silly anyway...

No, I'm saying even if you threaten to fight a woman then you suck as a man. Are you honestly telling me if you heard a man threaten to kick your mom's/sister/wifes ass that you wouldn't think less of him? Come on now. I know we like our players and all and we don't know if he really threatened this woman, but if he did, he sucks as a man. Are you going to tell your son it's cool to challenge women to fights? Seriously??

I can't believe we are debating whether it's ok or not to challenge a woman to box. I take the Tupac stance on that one ("hit a man"):

Does not make it OK !

I mean when Corey Maggette goes over there and apologizes for you, that is pretty poor.

Kyle recognized he was being as ass and apologized, but that does not make it right, or ok.

A Class B misdemeanor is no big deal though, let's hope Kyle learns from it....

This seems very unlike him and more a moment of loss of temper...and entitlement.

Hopefully it is not a crack in his armor and more a blip on the radar.

If this is true, the ref should know there are other venues to address this.

**** like this happens on the basketball court; she can't handle it?
