She's actually one of the best analysts on ESPN (I don't read her articles, just going by her ESPN First Take appearances). You could say that speaks poorly of ESPN, but to call her terrible and say no one should take her seriously just makes you look like an idiot.

Andrew Luck is not Manning Jr. His arm isn't nearly as good or as strong. Other than the time he threw 40 yards falling down, most of the time I see him underthrowing his deep passes.

    Edit:

Before anyone starts bashing me, I think Luck is worthy of being a number 1 pick. I just don't think he is as sure of a thing as Manning was. He looks like a more mobile Bradford.

Manning never had a great arm and is probably his only flaw. Luck doesn't have a gun arm either but it's better than Manning's.

This. Luck has at least as much arm strength as Peyton. He doesn't have Jay Cutler arm strength, but where has that gotten Cutler so far?

I like the Eli Manning comparison. Reminds me of him in college.

I think RG3 will be closer to VY than Cam Newton.

The more I watch RG3 he reminds me of McNabb. He looks like he could be a good pocket passer with the mobility to escape and extend plays if need while also having the ability to take off and run and create a nice gain for his team.

Cam Newton, based on their first two years as starters, is better than McNabb at both passing and running.

Warren Moon? RGIII has all the talent and can make all the throws. What decides if he's going to stud or not, is if he can go through his progressions at NFL speed.

why are we comparing RGIII only to other black QB's?

He doesn't remind me of any previous black QBs. McNabb? Seriously?

Also Luck is the superior pro prospect. and Jemele Hill is r****ded.

I am trying to decide if I had to pick QBs that RGIII was least similar too if I would pick Warren Moon or McNabb. Hmmmm......

Most of this thread has been dedicated to comparing him against Luck.

I'm not so sure the Browns can sit at #4 and get RGIII. With the success of Cam Newton, and with Matt Barkley and Landry Jones pulling out of the draft, I could see a lot of teams trying to trade up for St. Louis' #2 or Minnesota's #3 for RG III. There's quite a few teams in need of a starting QB.

"This isn't to say that if the Colts chose Luck, they would be making a horrible mistake. But Griffin gives the Colts a chance to win right now and for years to come."

    LOL!

Doesn't Luck give the Colts a chance to win right now and in the future?

    Jemele is a joke!

Her argument is no, because drafting Luck would require getting rid of Manning because Luck will be expected to start immediately - so you couldn't win now. RG3 could sit on the bench and learn, and thus you can keep Manning far more easily.

Did anyone actually read what the article said?
